I needed to take a break, that's why I've been gone for so long. Thanksgiving, a funeral, Christmas, and New Years also kept me away from Flickr. As far as the image above goes, I actually finished it about a week or two ago, but It took me until now to decide to upload it.

this is a new twist on the the time lapse movies have been making recently, this time i did with out the add of a tripod. this was shot at the recent brighton flickr meet at garage studios that just so happens to be the venue of my 1st book launch event witch will be on the 23rd of october between 6:00PM and 8:30PM. there will be selected prints and books on sale
i now have venues for london and bristol to prints and books will be on sale at the london and brighton events but because of logistics only books will be on offer at bristol.
if you think you might be coming to any of the events and wanting to get a book could e-mail me saying how many books you might want and witch event you be attending because i might have to order more books. my e-mail is kev@analogintelligence.co.uk can you make the subject line "im coming to the hot shots books launch". e-mail me even if you have already told me you are coming so i know for sure how many books i need

as part of the the brighton photo fringe 2008 festival, the brighton and hove camera club is hosting a panel discussion on the ethics, legalities and issues surrounding photography today. along with editors of magazines, legal types and photographers yours truly will be on the panel. its a £5 to get with all the money going to landline action.

There was a flickr group called Naked Flickring. It seems to have been started around 2005 by someone who liked to be naked while on the web. There were others, so we contributed our pictures. This group seems to have ended, but the pictures are still here. Pictures of nakedness seems to have blossomed into the millions. Glad to have done my part.
The brown pelican is a small pelican found in the Americas. It is one of the best known and most prominent birds found in the coastal areas of the southern and western United States. It is one of only three pelican species found in the Western Hemisphere. The brown pelican is one of the only two pelican species which feeds by diving into the water. This one is picking through it's feathers at Avila Beach, CA. Very fun to watch with more shots to come.

Please join the protest and make sure this is your last picture before December 8th 2013. This protest is against the new User Interface change that flickr has imposed.
Five years ago I uploaded my first picture on Flickr. It is amazing how the time flies. So many things happened during this period.
When I started on Flickr it was a very hard time, my sister had cancer but doing the 365 project was a good way for me to deal with this whole shit. All the support and condolences after her death helped me to get through this time. Then I met Sindy and we moved together into a new flat. We were a couple for three years until our break up this February. During this five years I also quit my job in the book store and started an apprenticeship last year. I was always very open in showing my life, my feelings and thoughts. If you followed me you will know nearly everything about me now.
From the beginning this stream should be my personal diary, a place for my personal memory. I liked the idea that I could look back into my stream one day and see how things changed in my life and see how myself changed. But Flickr has become much more for me than just my personal diary. It has become a very important part of my social life. During the years I met so many fantastic people here and I'm happy to call some of them friends today. I want to thank all the people who supported me, thanks for all the comments, faves and mails. You are the reason why this place is awesome.
I know the change of Flickr this year was hard. I still hate the new design but as long as you are here everything will be fine.
I looked through my stream today and I realised that many things have changed. I think my photographs are much better today. The change of some equipment was one reason but I believe that I have a much better feeling for composition and lighting today. Nevertheless, there is a lot of space to improve my photography skills. But my journey here on Flickr isn't over, it will be continued. So, let's see what the next five years will bring :)

Seit gestern werden für deutsche Nutzer keine Bilder mehr angezeigt, die als 'moderate' oder 'restricted' markiert sind! Es gibt keine Moeglichkeit dies umzustellen - auf welcher Basis dies geschieht, ist unklar - es ist jedenfalls ein bemerkenswerter Umstand, dass ein US-Konzern Zensur in Deutschland ausübt.

If your Yahoo! ID is based in Singapore, Germany, Hong Kong or Korea you will only be able to view safe content based on your local Terms of Service so won’t be able to turn SafeSearch off.
In other words that means, that German users can not access photos on flickr that are not flagged "safe" ... only flowers and landscapes for the germans ...
We will not let this happen! Copy and upload this picture to your account - show flickr that they went too far!
