It is a petition to be presented to Melissa Cook re: the New Flickr and to restore/keep a usable flickr for photographers.
I signed late Sat. night as #5059 and just checked now, Sunday morning the 8th....11 CST, U.S.A.....#6351 is from Australia. So you see, all over flickr world, not just the U.S., is signing.
Petititons on the moveon.org site seem to carry great weight here in US; that is, if there are MANY 1000's who sign. Respect to those in charge is highly desired.

Finished a roll of Portra 160 today that I shot over many months, if not years, in this trusty Yashica-mat. Tried a new coffee place today that my wife gave me a gift card for. Quite nice and provides some new backdrops for camera and coffee cup photos.

Pathfinder, I guess the mechanics of an airplane makes it a pathfinder to far off exotic places….Especially through thick clouds

Layers Magazine is published by KelbyOne — the online educational community for Photoshop, Lightroom, and Photography.
I know Flickr fell out of favour with many, it has been my only real social media (other than a bit of Facebook) since I first really got interested in photography. There are things I would wish to change about it, mostly to have more control over the layout options. I pay for the Pro version because it provides another layer of back-up without limit, good for someone like me who has very little tech-savvy and has in the past with computer and hard drive failures lost images I wish I hadn't. The best thing is the feeling that you actually make friends over the years, even though you are probably never going to meet physically, watching others lives through their images, families growing, the good times and bad... I'm a happy Flickr user, just saying, Sunday morning rant maybe.
Is Flickr dying on its arse? Since the takeover by SmugMug a while back, it seems to me that it's taken a big dip in popularity. Of course, it could just be that people are fed up with my pics.... after 7 and a half years of regularly posting pics, I'm probably bringing nothing new to the party!
I'm thinking of ditching Flickr and moving over to Instagram. Those of you that have Instagram too... how does it compare?
Taken Jan 11th 25. This was my second trip this year, the first being a bust with stubborn low cloud on the horizon. Similar issue this time but with more high cloud the sky was on fire. Just 8 or so photographers jostling for position, definitely worth the trip this time.
