this is a sami style salt flask i made from piere davids deer antler and juniper wood,then i scrimshawed it with the traditional sami weave pattern.

My third leather project was a leather flask. I always wanted a leather flask but never bought one because I wanted to make it myself. I bought the flask at Wal-Mart for $4.99 and then wrapped it in vegetable tanned belly (cheap leather) and I think it turned out pretty good. Going to take it on a back country hike for some camp fire time next weekend.

5 minutes from where I live is Dam Flask - a beautiful spot for walking, wildlife and photography. The dogs however think it's a great place for a swim... the car now has that lovely 'wet dog' aroma!
