here's another sample taken with the Yongnuo yn460II flash. it really does have a remarkably different, and I guess more accurate color balance than I'm used to with flashes.

The Golden Age, Original and cooler than Barry Allen Flash. Not someone who should be in focus. Saturday, Baltimore Comic-Con 2011
I was trying off-camera flash without the proper equipment. Fired the handheld flash manually after the shutter opened. Not by the book, but had to give it a go. The spotlight effect just happened by some random setting I used - I have been trying different settings and such and I'm pretty sure it will be a long time until I master this. So glad for TTL! I think I'm just going to have to write down my setting and frame and change them incrementally. Then review them on the computer. I've got to create some type of dummy first who doesn't have anything to do and won't care to be blasted with blinding light for hours on end...LOL!!
A very nice machine. I had a brief chat with the owner who had travelled some miles on it to arrive here. A nice run out for it in the winter sun.
Nice sunset tonight from Anna Maria Island. Started out with a nice inferior mirage leading to an omega sunset. Culimnated with an inferior mirage green flash, eaisly naked eye visible.

P1080689 - More experiments using flash during the day in shaded parts of the woods, not perfected it yet. But loved the gills on this one, plus the oak leaves. One of about seven by the way.
