My friend has a fish tank with some koi and this gold fish. We placed strobes on either side of the tank, and had a white card in front of my camera pop-up flash. The card was to prevent my flash from showing up on the glass surface yet allow the pop-up to command the strobes.
Realistically only one strobe would reach the subject. Water would turn the most distant strobe light to a greenish color and end up consuming light before it could reach the other end. So you can tell that the fish was closer to the right side of the tank.
In Aperture I cleaned up the image removing bubbles and background gunk.
In this area there are so many corals that fish markets look like aquariums!

Amphilophus labiatus is a large cichlid fish endemic to Lake Managua and Lake Nicaragua in Central America but the fish that are commercially available in pet shops are very heavily hybridized and are commonly sold as Red Devils.
I had this pair in Sydney for many years. They were prolific breeders and typical of most cichlids, avid aquarium redecorators, moving gravel, rocks and anything not bolted down on a daily basis.

Every summer, Alaskans catch fish and dry them to last through the winter. They build racks to hold the fish while they dry.
The Japanese have always loved fresh fish. But the waters close to Japan have not held many fish for decades. So to feed the Japanese population, fishing boats got bigger and went farther than ever. The farther the fishermen went, the longer it took to bring in the fish.
