Letty Hingtgen, a Red Cross First Aid instructor, demonstrates Infant First Aid a group of new mothers at Seattle Central Community College. During the hour-long workshop, she shared basic information on what to do for choking, burns, and other life-threatening situations that may affect babies and young children. The moms were able to ask questions, practice CPR on the training manikins and, ultimately, feel more prepared and ready if an emergency did arise.
The Red Cross Quick Look is a free presentation that introduces participants to the knowledge needed to respond to emergencies before advanced medical care arrives. Skills learnt will include cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), basic first aid, the handling of acid attacks and emergency childbirth situations, which is all aimed at ensuring safer journeys for passengers.
