I couldn't help wonder if the First Aid Kit girls hung out with The Hives at Coachella seeing as how their music is so similar.
That was a joke.

Another shot from the controlled burn I was at. The BC Forestry service was 100% safety first. They each had extra equipment of everything and always had their first aid kits a short reach away. Thankfully no one had to use them. I'm pretty sure this worker is checking equipment, but it certainly looks like he's calm enough to be typing out his grocery list for the way home.
I spotted this structure in the village of Slaidburn and was intrigued as to its purpose. The sign says 'St John Ambulance'. After asking around the answer is that it is a St John’s Ambulance box. This once stored first aid equipment including a stretcher. This box was placed there way back by the Clitheroe St John Ambulance - Slaidburn being a very isolated village was one that needed such a facility - it was maintained for many years by the local Division who kept it stocked. Originally it would have had a key in a case attached to the door so it could be unlocked in an emergency. With better access by the Ambulance service and a GP facility in the village it eventually fell into disuse. However the box was considered of significance by local people who took on the responsibility for keeping it in good repair. These boxes which came in several sizes, were once to be found at many locations around the country before emergency services became more mobile.

This was taken with the other picture on Vermunt Stausee Silvretta. Maybe it is boring to show two pictures of the same subject. But when I view to my archive this always leaps to my eye. First I prefer the other one, but now I am with this. I don't know what is the reason, maybe the red aid box, or the line of the stage. I hope you could see it with the first view and tell me...

Et elle a dit : « Rivotril ! »

At the moment the plane made a turn to the right and tilted significantly with the tip of the right wing pointing towards the ground, some passengers at the windows, very anxious, interpreted that the plane was out of control and would crash, which was just an illusion.
The voice of the flight attendant called me to assist during the flight: "Attention, is there a doctor on board ? Please introduce yourself."
At the end of the aisle of the plane, I could see the flight attendant next to a visibly pale and distressed lady.
The first aid kit was not really necessary, it was an episode of acute and intense panic disorder and the sublingual anxiolytic medication was in the lady's bag, I just reminded her and helped her take the medication that she had brought with her and due to severe anxiety but she didn't remember it.
It was medical care, just reassuring therapy.
Shortly after, she cried a lot and recovered.
No, it was not a heart attack as she and the flight attendant next to her thought.
What was the diagnostic tool that I used to help her ?
I used a good and careful history.
I said,
"Are you taking any medication ?
Do you need to carry it with you in case of emergency ?
What is the name of the medication ?"
And she said, "Rivotril !"

I love the original and am amazed that I prefer this version now.
Bought these for $3. Also, the family having the yardsale was struggling pretty bad. Probably because they were buying this crap instead of saving money for harder times.

BACKSTORY: Got up around 7:15AM, made it out driving by 7:51 AM and went out until around 1:30PM for a total of 5 hours, 39 minutes. Spent $73.00 plus ~$7.98 gas for 41 miles of driving (15.1 mpg @ $2.94/G), for a total cost of $80.98. We drove to 64 yard sales, stopping at 22 (34%) of them. We made 49 purchases (50 items) for a total estimated value of $743.64, leading to a profit/savings of $662.66. So in essence, we multiplied our $80.98 investment by 9.18X. (Also, if you think about it, the profit counts for even more when you consider that we have to earn $~755 on the job, pre-tax, in order to take home the $662 in cash that we saved. How long does $662 of disposable income take to earn, vs the 5.65 hrs we spent here?) Anyway, this works out to a *post-tax* "wage" of $117.29/hr as a couple or $58.64/hr per person.

Four German medics wearing the M1916 Stahlhelm seem to be exiting the basement of a damaged, but still standing building, surrounded by ruins of other buildings. The corner of the building bas been reinforced an a red cross flag has been put on display - this is probably the first aid station from which they are operating.
They are either removing a corpse from their shelter, or advancing to transport and treat new casualties.
Very limited help could be given at the front itself, but men who could still be helped were brought to nearby first aid stations. From this point onward, they were transported deeper behind the lines where larged field hospitals were located (Feld-Lazarett), where serious operations were performed.
Unlike at the old Hernando Kroger, the first-aid, and other various health/personal care aisles had been remodeled from millennium style to 2012/bountiful style at some point.
