ZAHS advanced band performs at Grandberry Mall
Zama American High School’s advanced band played for the first time in a local foreign national concert venue May 22 at Grandberry Mall.
Kevin Hanson, Zama American School band teacher, said he has been here nine years and they have been unable to find a venue off-base.
“For this performance opportunity, we had to send a video of the band to be asked/accepted to play,” said Hanson.
The symphonic band of 41 students played a variety of music to include some Disney movie themed music, Batman’s theme song and the Mission Impossible movie theme song.
Hanson said the mall manager was watching the crowd and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
“We were invited to come back anytime,” said Hanson.

First time having the experience to photograph a wedding, good idea to throw myself into the deep end and plucked the courage to take the Images. Obviously this is my first time I wasnt expecting proffesional photographs (this will take more experience) but I sure as heck tried and really happy with what Got. Thank you to Hollie and Connor on giving me this amazing chance. It also helped my confidence a great deal and will help me progress into new levels of photography!
Whimsy and I went on our first field training outting last Wed. It was so much fun and we are looking forward to the last Wednesday of the month to meet everyone again. The only problem... I have to focus on training so I can't get a picture in. I am hoping to bring my Flip recorder out in the hopes that someone will video it for me.
This little cutie meet the bird for the first time. As you can see, there wasn't any problems picking it up and taking it with her. :)
