We are in the process of buying our very first home! It's the first floor of a renovated yellow Victorian built in 1926. It's in Salem, MA and is truly double the size of our current space. Who wants to come to our first party?
Though it doesn't taste very good, fondant is a great medium for cake decorating. Especially when you have tasked yourself with making a Chivas label for your dad's 64th birthday cake.

Hardwood floors throughout, there is no carpet at all. There's also another fireplace in the upstairs bedroom.
For this batch, I cut the dough into dogs and ducks. (I couldn't find my bone-shaped cutter, and Jet is a dog whose breed was/is intended to retrieve ducks from icy waters.)
