The 1990 Nissan Sentra XS that my brother gave to me as a gift when he returned to Europe. Thanks, Fred!
This was first car I officially owned (stating my name on the title).
It had an 1.6 l engine (90 hp) with 5–speed manual transmission and came with incredible gold-colored alloy rims. :D
Our dad and Fred installed an after-market tachometer in the dashboard, as you can see in the picture.
The Nova runs strong with a new 5-speed tranny - Bobby is replacing the rear Quarter-panel so the car is dusty .

Me and my first car...it was vintage when I got it (photo is from 1972-74?) and it did have mechanical and body issues (it didn't care much for second gear and there were some significant rust issues) but boy was it a fun car to drive on a summer night with the top down. The car is now gone and there's an office building where the field was. Photo by Carol, not me.

There are the owners on the left. They're UCLA Geologist professors engaged to be married. It's the girls' car. We agreed on a $4,500 price tag.
This Nova has been in our family for 28 years . Nicholas already scribbled his name on the hood and told us it's his car, so that's the plan. The car runs strong with a new 5-speed tranny . Bobby is doing body-work on the rear quarter-panel so its dusty.
Just got it washed, thought it looked pretty good. I hate my wheels though. The previous owner bought them and I am currently saving to buy the stock ones for this model year.
I hadn't learned how to drive stick at this time, so my Mom drove us around the block (she taught me how to drive stick a few days after this picture).
This is how I learned how to drive stick: My Mom told me to go in and out of first gear and reverse, back and fourth, in the driveway until I could get it right without either stalling or screeching. It worked.
this week, my jeep turns 11.... my first and only car i have ever owned...
she has been to both the pacific and atlantic oceans, been four wheelin at 13000 feet, raced a baby moose at flaming gorge, transported around 8 or 9 people around grand teton for a friends wedding, drive-in'd, drove the vegas strip, parked in manhattan, cruised the california coast, plated in colorado and california (soon illinois), rolled safely into the butte after an insane crossing of wolf creek pass... oh god there have been so many more good times in this truck...
156 thousand miles on her and she is still going strong.
