the sun was hot on your skin with a cool light breeze, gotta get back in the swing of hanging the clothes on the line, it took 20 minutes for me to get this one load hanging, slow me, i do not remember it taking this long before, i must just be out of practice

I love being in a place for the first time without having researched it ahead of time and trying to suss out what makes the place "tick": landmarks, etc. Of course, I am always on the lookout for coastal England "British Modernist" in art deco especially and Rottingdean didn't disappoint - And you can start to see Brighton, our destination, in the distance!

Finally the lap pool machine works. I swam for about 5 minutes in 62 degree water. Invigorating! there is a little gadget to adjust the speed of the water. At first I could only keep up doing the crawl, so John set it lower, which was great for everything else including treading water!

At this speed I couldn't keep up with breast stroke.
