There was a fire call in Willow Street (that's a town, not a street when I stepped out of a movie theater tonight. Here are pictures from the scene (It was a smoldering grease pan in a grocery store) Fire trucks from four towns arrived. In total, 7 fire trucks and 2 ambulances

On Wednesday afternoon, July 28, ninety year old Ada Tate and her grandson, John Wilson, were at Ada's home when the Rocky Fire erupted. John had recently arrived to assist his grandmother with some home repairs and also to clear the area to make it fire safe. Ada was outside and noticed the fire burning just a few short miles away. She called the fire department. Within a few hours, Ada and her grandson, John, were told to evacuate. They spent the night at the Red Cross shelter in Clearlake, not certain if the family home had burned or not.

The movie kinda looks like it might be disappointing though. :( I heard they changed a lot of things.
Only the Lords of Fire are able to do things like this Flaire intenting to burn toxical waste gases in petroquimical industry.
Its light can be viewed kilometers far away and its sound can be heard about 2 or 3 kilometers!!!!

It is 60 ft off the ground, and access is via a series of wooden ladders.
It seems rickety, however it is solid as can be: made of karri, one of the straightest and harder timber you can find around here.

I work in. This is a shared area for all the shops on the street, used for deliveries, etc, and always has a really dark quality to it when you walk through.

This car caught fire when I was walking down the street. I stopped and took a few shots of the firemen intervention. It was some kind of engine problem, not a malvolent act. If the car owner or the firemen wants to use some of the shot, they are welcome.
Cette voiture a pris feux alors que je marchais dans la rue. Je me suis arrêté pour prendre quelques clichés de l'intervention des pompiers.
