Thought it would be cool to get a night shot of the World War 2 Cape May Fire Tower.
Taken about 9:45 this evening.
You can read more about it here: www.capemay.com/Editorial/June06/wwIItower.html
I've had enough of washing and drying Fire every time we go outside, so today we went out to get him a new raincoat.
I wanted to get one that covers his stomach as that's his biggest mud-collector. I wanted to go with my favorite doggie brand and to get him the Hurtta Lifeguard Storm hoodie but I noticed at the store that it didn't cover his stomach at all. Not good!
The store had just received the new doggie collection from Rukka and their raincoat seemed pretty good. I still prefer the fit and design of the Hurtta Storm hoodie better but as it doesn't cover the dogs stomach at all, I decided to take the Rukka for a test ride.
It's easy to put on, and the quality feels great. Although I have my doubts about the way it's secured under the stomach, the wrap-around mechanism on Hurtta feels much better in my opinion.
Also the hood is much better on the Hurtta's model, where as the Rukkas (removable) hood is pretty much useless. But oh, doesn't he look cute in it! :D
EDIT: I took this back to store and changed it to the Hurtta model here

Having taken loads of photos of Leicester Square station, I headed towards Piccadilly, mainly to take a few photos of a police telephone post halfway up Regent Street. But, because I only had so long to do this and because i didn't know how far I'd have to WALK along Regent Street, I decided to leave it.
One place I decided to photograph (and wanted to do so for some time) was this, the former County Fire Office, built in the days when insurance companies were also responsible for fighting fires. The building on the right was until eight years ago the Regent Palace Hotel and our base when we were in London in March, April and November 1999. In fact, it may have been our base one last time the following March.

The new headquarters for the Monticello Fire Department will include three bays. The cost of the new station is $1,137,000. It is replacing a station that was dedicated April 12, 1939 at a cost of $12,200.
These are some of the dollars that came off the ceiling. People would throw dollars backed by thumbtacks to the ceiling.
