Monthly community fire

the better one. I love this one. not sure how i managed it but i love it.

I was out buying furniture last Saturday and ran across a store with all this BBQ equipment in it, so I bought their smallest charcoal Weber grill. (Gas is a horrible grill source with no taste!) They delivered it yesterday. We are lucky that in the first floor of our complex is an April Gourmet which has imported gourmet goods. I picked up some pesto, pasta and a couple of fresh salmon fillets and cooked us a nice dinner.

Not that we needed this today (it was at least 54 degrees warm outside)....

This was shot with the Sigma EX-DC (digital only) 30mm lens, so it's a little wider than the 50mm, but you need to crop it.

From a trip to the Old Fort Erie (National historic site) "All Hallows Eve" tour in 2010.

I've taken a few years off from this tour as each year seemed like a photo copy of the previous one.

I might give it a try this year in the hope theres something slightly new.

My dad decided to burn a piano the year he turned 60. Everyone seems to love it, so he's done it for the last 4 years now.

We did a variation on the "Rite of Seven Steps" to exchange our vows. To do this, we had to light a sacred fire to step around... here in the form of a small firepot.

As far as I know this is the only fire escape in Holt County. It's on the courthouse.

Burning some brush on the property also gave me the opportunity to play around with some fire shots.
