I put my recently purchased Nikonos finder on my Canon Vt with 35mm Jupiter wide angle for comparison purposes. This model Canon actually has a built-in finder for this focal length, but it's relatively small, and has barrel distortion in addition. The giant Nikonos finder with long eye relief (designed to allow you to see the field of view while wearing goggles underwater) gives a distortion-free view, and the great eye relief allows eyeglass wearers to easily see the entire field of view, something that eyeglass wearers rarely get to see.

Left out at the curb on Ainsworth. Straight, tire holds air, freewheel spins. I'll put it on a donor bike. Crazy what some people throw away.
I knew I was saving this finder from the Olympus E-P1 & the 17mm I bought back in 2010 for a reason.
I checked the finder and compared to the 35mm framelines in the viewfinder, and they seem to be fairly similar, so onto the Leica M5 with the Voigtlander 40mm f/1.4 Nokton Classic S.C. it goes.

I think this is a really old school fish finder unit. Nearly everything in this place was from a least a decade or two ago. It was great fun to explore :)
Well folks, it's been a while. Babalas Drive Yards proudly makes a return with the Path Finder series. A 4-6 person Inter Solar System vehicle. Designed for Military and Government dodgy-ops.
Featuring an opening cargo bay door, rotating engine pylons and partially retracting landing gear (too heavy to support itself, as usual)

The 3rd try at the mac finder Icon and Igot this....I was pretty happy with the result and also Icouldnt remember at that time that the finder nose points in the other direction and the smile goes all the way from left to right.

The Gull on the left found a tasty treat, and everyone wanted a bite. He picked "it" up and flew a few feet away to a clearing on the beach, doing this several times. And each time another gull would show up, like the one on the right, trying to take it away.
He eventually just took off with it where I'm guessing he was finally able to eat in peace.
