I sat on the snow today and had to wait over an hour before the jays and cardinals would come over. About a dozen of them sat in the bushes staring at me, There were bluebirds also but they wouldn't come at all :((

Thanks to heaven for Mondays, the most exciting day of the week. How I missed my office

Monday morning blue, lonely butterfly and flower.

I finally got a half decent shot of the Male Ruby-throated Hummingbird on a Firecracker plant. He's been so dominate chasing away all the other hummers and just going on the feeder. Bill's Backyard Bird Blind.

I took my mom out with me today. The mission - A Great Gray.

I am thrilled to report MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

FYI: After careful deliberation, I have decided to contract out my Mother's excellent scouting abilities. She is 87 years young and she works for cheap. She is always up for an adventure! She will gladly accept various tokens of appreciation - a small Tim Hortons coffee, one cream, a toasted, cheese tea biscuit with jam and a bag of spicy chips. She also likes a Honey Crisp apple but you must cut it up. Stimulating conversation is a must but you cannot dump her out into the ditch if you do not agree with her political, religious or any other controversial views that WILL arise during the scouting services. All interested applicants please apply!

Finally got my Small Copper shot, boy did that take some chasing!! I have only seen 6 this year and only singular ones, on 6 different sites.

After an entire week of clouds and rain, the sun finally came out this afternoon. Such a joy to feel it. This is Early Spring Azalea (Rhododendron prinophyllum "Marie Hoffman") which is native to the Eastern U.S. Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day! :)

...you've often heard me complain of colorless skies lately...well it pays to be patient...

A rare sunny Sunday evening had me driving south for an hour to meet up with Train 962.

After a few shots that promised spectacle but generated meh, I finally get a smile on at Katiki.

I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, to those who do not celebrate, enjoy the empty streets with no traffic ♥

You buy a pineapple. You cut it up for eating and make juice. You take top portion put it in the ground and wait almost two years for this. Now you have to wait another year or so to get another….pineapple. Just go to the store and buy one.

Big wet flakes were falling this morning, but by late afternoon it was gone. Now it's all rain (again).

It took a while but I finally got a snowy to fly towards the camera. Usually they go the other way.
