For years, 508114 was allowed to cruise the network in frankly appalling external condition - it must have been amongst the tattiest EMUs in the country. This photo, taken at Birkenhead Park on 02/08/02, shows some of the wear and tear.
The damage to the black stripe evidenced here led, in 2000, to the adoption of a much-improved revised Merseytravel livery with just the grey stripe present.
On RTT I noticed that a STP from Tyne Yard - Millerhill was running in the morning. Noticing on Railcam it was running with the headcode 6S58, I assumed it was the Dalzell Steel working. ( a pipe train to Leith recently had ran with the same headcode ).
Here at an overcast Prora, east of Drem, is filthy 66169 with the Dalzell Steel. This was the 0840 Tyne Yard - Dalzell loaded steel train on the 7th December 2017. It is seen passing here at 1147.
I am unsure when this made it to Tyne Yard, but it didn't leave Millerhill till the following morning, leaving Millerhill at 0715

They are more preoccupied with computer games that eats up their time that should be spent socializing with the neighbors and experiencing things that their parents, their parents' parents and their fore-parents have done."

Filthy disgusting sewage dumped into our river by an avaricious privatised water utility intent only on shareholder profit and bunuses for the hierarchy ..... wicked dogs !!!
DRS Class 20s 20302 and 20303 are still dumped at York following the end of the the railhead treatment season in the autumn, both covered with the inevitable thick film of dirt.
