A little altar inside St Martin's Stamford. Focus was on the nearest (LHS) candlestick, the cross might have been marginally better in hindsight. Hand-held and I think at 1/25 sec. One day I'll try pushing a roll of film a couple of stops.

A nice mix of rain and sunshine in Leeds made the day a bit tricky to meter but fun to see and photo.
This building is an Edwardian baroque revival commercial effort built around 1904, quite impressive, on the corner of Briggate and Duncan Street.

A cast iron milepost at Sutton Bridge in Lincolnshire. We've got one opposite our house here in Stamford too (about 35-40 miles away), and there are still plenty about the area. I like taking photos of these, they are obvious candidates for a bit of b+w film.
If memory serves the background is an abandoned school, but I may be getting mixed up with somewhere else. This is from a day trip out in the car which I enjoyed.
This film is new to me.

Foggy Morning (film)
I was out walking my dog in Glen Valley as the fog was gradually lifting from the forest.

Another scene from my walk from Alwalton to Water Newton. This cloud really caught my eye and I walked until I could get some sort of foreground.
The sky is perhaps darker than you might normally expect, the glass in this lens is rather yellowed due to radiation damage (thorium glass). The lens is radioactive as hell, but it's fine with a clear glass filter over the front of it. On the back the shutter is enough to stop all the radiation from reaching the film. I've worked with nuclear materials over many years so this set-up has been tested with a Geiger counter.

My first view of Whittlesey on foot after parking the car. The usual Fenland road/car takeover (there is a large and busy roundabout just off to the right here), along with some sash windows. The Dutch influence on Fenland culture did not extend as far as bicycles which is I always find disappointing tbh.
With hindsight I did not spot any "ER" signs, so I will need to go back and look for those and photo them. "ER" stands for "Evacuation Route" in anticipation of the sea coming in and reclaiming most of the Fens. These signs are everywhere, even out as far as Skegness, and I find them fascinating.
Whittlesey turned out to be an interesting town with attractive buildings and churches.

I often take a photo of this scene when I am passing, it always speaks to me. No idea why I included so much sky in this one though.
