Wanted to use up some old paint. All rusto. To be honest I've used any Montana to do a Kregs piece. Lol. Anyway I'm usually cautious about putting wall fliks up because the buff might be looking. Stuff like that used to go down. Oh well. Hope it runs!

Filling an ex-CNW hopper at Middleton, MI on March 31, 2015

or: "I'll take a pack of Camels with that."

Don't ask me, I just take 'em. This being the gateway to Dead Sea and desert country, I imagine it's a good place to find tourists who will pay for a camel ride --- but that doesn't make as good a title. :-)

My collection was Titled "Fill me Up" for Denim Renaissance fashion show

Why "Fill me Up"? It was what I felt about fashion then. EMPTY. the mood was grey. serious, monotonous. That was how I felt. But I wanted to make something people can imagine themselves in not just a size 8. tall and thin. In this outfit I wanted her to feel serious yet the subtle touch of fun. Her skirt makes her want to dance and move in it. Which I succeeded! cos all my friends who wore it was dancing and twirling around. =)

Materials. Black Denim raw edges, I flipped it inside out. COs I just dun like the usual. everyone was using blue... boring. if u want to be boring then go to extremes right? and black lace. Her tube top was sheared one after another to get texture. It was super haute couture. lol..so i dun have a paper pattern, - the front of the tube is Lace on top of Black lycra jersey. the back is just a lace with no shears,so you see flowers on her back and her skin. the crop jacket was for those who might feel they need to cover yp their back.lol. U can't wear a bra with this

Ann helped stage manage with me. We also helped improve the set which initially was like crap.

Too bad some of the people in my class didn't appreciate it.

I was back stabbed. sadly.I was also disappointed at my lecturers.

Can u imagine a runway without blackout curtains.. as in like a stage? RIDICULOus. I get histerical still when i think of it. Your eyes will be travelling all over the place. the back drop was stairs!!!! and classes. whatever happened to the fundamentals of design. sheesh.or common sense.

I was at the fashion show, not at the rehearsals. I felt nothing not even happy. Not sure why. I think that's when I decided. it was over for me.I thank the classmates who were cared for me, and helped with the fitting. really. I appreciate their heart.

She was from Visual communication and i was grateful that she helped me out! esp with the tech bit!

I like the fill of light on the Vikings and Black Panther. I dislike that there is some places with bad lighting. I can make the picture better by doing it in a different angle and placing the fill in different place.

WAINFLEET — A 15-year-old Welland youth has been charged with one count of arson after a fire at the former Lakewood Camp Friday afternoon, said Niagara Regional Police.

Police said at approximately 5:40 p.m., two officers on ATV patrol observed a fire at the sprawling, abandoned Easter Seals complex at 17L65 Lakeshore Rd. in Wainfleet.

When they got closer to the camp, officers discovered the building was fully engulfed in flames.

A person on the beach spotted the fire as well and saw and three suspects fleeing the building on foot. The person was able to apprehend one of the alleged suspects and detained them until police arrived.

While police estimated damage to the structure to be $10,000, Wainfleet fire Chief Chris Cole pegged it at $100,000.

Cole said it was the banquet hall at the former camp that was allegedly set on fire and if the hall was to rebuilt, the cost would be at least $100,000.

"Our guys did an excellent job keeping the fire out of the main hall. It was strictly a defensive fire attack as the building was unoccupied and derelict.

"There was no way I was risking anybody's safety," said Cole.

Wainfleet fire department volunteers were at Lakewood for three hours. There were 29 firefighters on scene and nine pieces of equipment, including two tankers and four firefighters from neighbouring Haldimand County and Port Colborne.

Cole said the tankers from Haldimand and Port Colborne helped haul water in from the village.

Niagara EMS paramedics were also on scene, monitoring Wainfleet firefighters for heat exhaustion and water was brought in to keep the men hydrated.

Cole visited the fire scene Saturday morning and said the owner was already securing the property to keep people out.

"He had crews sealing the pool and rechaining and locking the front gate."

Buildings on site that had any openings were being resealed as well and no trespassing signs were being reposted.

"The owner has given police permission to patrol the property. And every time it's been reported to him that a building is open, he's been very quick to respond. He's been very co-operative

Cole said the owner has dealt with the vandalism on the property — people forcing open sealed buildings — as best as he can.

"It hasn't been easy for him."

This was a funky salt and pepper shaker that my mother brought home one day. I think it's ugly, but it makes an interesting subject. I tried to set up a dinner like background and used a big glass door and a fill card to brighten the area. I don't like how dim the back wall looks.

You Say Tomato, I Say Tomato

by Channa Puhrmann

I was having some trouble finding a subject for my fill photo assignment during the blizzard when I decided to take a break and look for something to eat. I saw my tomatoes on the counter and thought, those almost look too good to eat. Lightbulb moment. I had picked up 2 pieces of white foam core at the beginning of class so I used one to set the tomatoes on. I used the other one as my fill card on the right. I used a filtered work light on the left (I draped my curtain over the work light). In editing I brightened up the reds and greens and turned up the saturation a bit. I also adjusted the whites and turned the dial a bit to the cool side to remove the yellow/tan color the original background ended up having. I like the spreading green vines and the round bright red tomatoes. It is eye-catching and vibrant. Maybe I could have sprayed a little water on them to make them glisten with freshness.

It was really quite a challenge to shoot in broad daylight due to the harsh conditions of light; so, we decided to shoot in the shade. In times like these, a reflector comes in handy. But since we didn't have one, used strobe flash for fill instead.

We salvaged every piece of comb we could and held it in place with rubber bands. Then we placed the frames in supers. We ended up with two supers filled with 20 frames. Most of the bees were back in the hive by the time we were done. We did have some casualties, about 10 bees =(, but they didn't sting us =).

Another fun shoot with two boys... most of the shots in this series of three sets were all the goofing around they were doing while at the shoot... Such an entertaining shoot and energy filled two hours. This is actually the second time ive done a shoot with them. The first one was when they were much younger. Fun shooting both the times :)
