Down in the Mackinac River valley about one mile south of Dillon, IL on a foggy late-summer morning.
Day 2 of the B&W ND110 adventure and a good excuse to stop the car on the way home presented itself in the form of this glorious view across a farmers field.
I'm very much in the experimental phase of using this new B&W ND110 but each time I have used it I have gleened a little more information on how it works, how it works best and what it can and can't do. For example, it most certainly is a pain in the arse having to focus, add the ring, take the picture, remove the ring, re focus, add the filter and so on...
Despite that, it is starting to give me the kind of shots I have craved for a long time, although I still think moving water is a much better subject than moving clouds, especially when they don't move fast! It is one of the few times I actually wished it was windier...
In hindsight and because I was slightly rushed in to the shot taking, I could have used some different settings to get a better blur effect on the clouds including slightly higher iso and the aperture wasn't particular good. Live and learn.

The famous Kirundul- Kottavalasa (KK Line) considered the engineering marvel of the Indian Railways. The 448-km KK line, connecting Kirundul and Vizag port, was commissioned in 1967. It was built to promote exports of the Bailadila ore and fines. It rises from the sea level gradually, at 1:60 gradient, with 8 degree curve passing through 59 tunnels (total tunnel length is 14 km) along Anantagiri Ghat to reach Araku valley a distance of 105 km, at an elevation of almost 1,000 metres. The Dandakaranya-Bolangir-Kiriburu (DBK) Railway Project constructed the railway line.

The actual bulb fields, situated around the Keukenhof flower exhibition. This is where many of those millions of flowers come from. Row upon row of colour, sometimes to the horizon.
Heavy fighting here on July 2nd, 1863 between Union and Confederate troops during the Civil War. A very serene, quiet, peaceful place now.
I must`ve walked around this whole field looking for a good composition....

Did some Urbexing this weekend. This is the original Air Traffic Control Tower from when the airfield was operated under the U.S. Navy during WWII.
I grew up behind this airfield and my father worked here for 20+ years. Grumman built various aircraft components including pylons for the DC-10 fleets of which my father worked on.
