Sunrise from Round Bald, Roan Highlands.
I made it up on the mountain well before sunrise and searched around a long time trying to find a composition I was happy with, I even hiked up onto Jane Bald before the sunrise but ended up making my way back to Round Bald. I didn't see this comp until the sun came up and started lighting up the grasses, by that time I had almost let the sun get too high in the sky since I had to switch back to my wide-angle lens.

I just like this field, which is just over the River Tyne, from Hailes Castle. I like it's stripes and it's ridge.
It kind of looks like I am standing at the top of a field looking down, with the top of the image being the low point, but it's completely the opposite, as the low point is the lowest part of the image and it goes sharply uphill.
Hailes Castle itself, is a real treat too.

If you've ever tried taking photos from foul territory, you know it can be extremely difficult to get shots with the batter's eyes. One solution is to shoot from beyond the center field fence at 600mm.

This field of sugar cane just recently harvested surrounded with the railroad tracks was nice to snap a Texas sunset.
Oh how I love those vivid tulips! The evening that I was out here, the sky was overcast and moody. This shot is a blend of two exposures, one for the flowers, one for the sky.

I spoke to the dragonfly
In the warm summer sunshine
It looked at me with its eyes
Telling me tale of its life
From the waters it so came
Not to return again
Only to renew some more
Then it would shortly die

THE COMMON DARTER
(Sympetrum Striolatum) is the most common dragonfly in the UK. Found throughout the UK (And most of Europe) from June to August, usually near still waters, but also on garden ponds and sometimes away from water completely, usually in woodland glades.
Legs are very dark and have a yellow stripe, and head has a black band. Females are orangey-brown
Taken early evening just before the light disappeared behind the cloud and became overcast seconds after
Taken in Irbid after the rain has stopped falling. I will get another shot from the same place once the fields turn golden yellow.
What is field of vision?... the scope of what one can see
but add memory and anticipation.. it increases magically
it is more than just a harvest.. it is a literal field of gold
frost tipped branches .. turns vision in...to a touch of cold
the silence of a photograph.. repeats the sounds we heard
or what we think we see..can change with a single word
turn to the east each morning... just as the sun does rise
