I belong to the Streetsboro Quilt Guild in Ohio, and one of our service projects is to make fidget quilts for people with Alzheimer's/dementia.
My world is filled with travel, quilting and volunteering.
My last adventure was (section) hiking the Buckeye Trail in Ohio - all 1,477 miles!

My wife and I have family in other states. Some of our Christmas presents were late in coming. One of the packages contained another fidget spinner. This one is called the ninja spinner and is seen here in motion.
I spent the summer making fidget quilts for Alzheimer's patients at our local Council on Aging Center. I got the idea from JudyinOhio. I tried many techniques that were new to me. I added a zippered pocket, and made a hand warming pocket in one of the quilts by copying one of my son's sweatshirts. I also salvaged a pocket from a pair of jeans and a velcro pocket from a boy's bathing suit. 2014_08

Poor Fidget. Any time there is an item of apparel or a very very small box either she or I have to play the Let's See If She Will Fit In It" game. This time, I put her up to it (though to be fair. she didn't really squawk about the injustice. My knitting project kept her ears warm. : )
Fidget would be wise to count her blessings today. Her big sister Puppy cat got taken to the *shudder* vet today, for teeth cleaning and a sure-to-be-embarrassing shave. The tangles and snaggles on Pup's belly, legs and hips finally got too tanglysnaggly for me to care for so the Oregon Vet Clinic is helping us out with that today.
On Wednesday Night I was one of the 300 people who braved the cold weather to go see Attack of the Circus in the Black Box, or should I say the bloody Ice Box seeing as there was no heating in there either Tuesday for our dress rehearsal or for Wednesday for the show itself.
The show was worth braving the cold though. It was a wonderful night. Well done the wonderful Chantal, Jym & Lee from Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Troupe who worked so hard with the group. I'm really looking forward to seeing The Snow Queen now at the end of January. Don't forget to book your tickets early to avoid disappointment. I know I'm going to. :o)

This is Fidget. He was my kitten for a little while. I found him in a dumpster at my work. I took him home, cleaned him up, & John helped me take care of him. He's soooo big now.
He currently lives at John's friend's appartment. We got to visit him this weekend because they were out of town. He's so fluffy nowadays.
I want another kitten. :)
