On Wednesday Night I was one of the 300 people who braved the cold weather to go see Attack of the Circus in the Black Box, or should I say the bloody Ice Box seeing as there was no heating in there either Tuesday for our dress rehearsal or for Wednesday for the show itself.
The show was worth braving the cold though. It was a wonderful night. Well done the wonderful Chantal, Jym & Lee from Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Troupe who worked so hard with the group. I'm really looking forward to seeing The Snow Queen now at the end of January. Don't forget to book your tickets early to avoid disappointment. I know I'm going to. :o)

Series of six. I had the opportunity to watch a falconer exercising his Peregrine on the Downs. Normally all I see of a Peregrine is a quick flash and its gone, so it was a good opportunity to get some close-ups. One day I may get the same of a wild bird. Would be nice!

Made with a Nikon 55mm f/1.2 lens, ca. 1976, shot wide open, 1/60 second, ISO 2000 in hand-held-twilight mode. DOF at this distance is about an inch.
The 55mm is the least desirable of the Nikon f/1.2 lenses -- pretty inexpensive on Ebay by comparison with other Nikon f/1.2s. It's supposed to be a little less sharp and contrasty than newer 50mm f/1.2 models wide open, but indistinguishable from f/2 on up. I got this one used when everyone was dumping manual focus 50mms around 1988-1990 and haven't had a minute's trouble out of it in 20 years.

This is Fidget, who was part of the birds of prey display at Castle Bolton. This shot was taken inside the courtyard of the castle, which seems to be a great location for such displays.

Pensato e gestito dagli stessi ragazzi vigevanesi, il Supergrass è un regalo alla città. Una perla per chi segue certi suoni e non avrebbe mai pensato di ritrovarseli sotto casa, in un centro come Vigevano che non ha strutture club di un certo tipo.
La location, unica, del castello di Vigevano, offre uno spazio incredibile. Un’arena secolare che ospiterà migliaia di giovani pronti a ballare dalle 18 fino all’una di notte.
I Crookers sono due dj Italiani di musica house, in particolare electro house e fidget, con un'influenza hip-hop. I membri della band sono Phra (Francesco Barbaglia) & Bot (Andrea Fratangelo).
