It is an amazing thing to sit next to a glacier, you can hear it creaking and cracking. Although the crevasses look fairly small, they are huge.
This is the Fee Burn that flows down from Corrie Fee towards Glen Doll, one of the Angus Glens, and eventually into the River South Esk.

This dainty, frothy wildflower appeared to be turning away from the other flowers in this burgeoning roadside verge. The wildflowers in the part of rural France were bountiful and full of colour , a visual feast .

Several years ago, I was invited to create an image for an exhibition to be called Moulin Rouge. This absinthe fairy was my submission to that exhibition, which sadly never opened. Absinthe, called "the green fairy," was the drink of many of the artists and writers who congregated in Montmartre, in particular, and Paris, in general, including Ernest Hemingway, James Joyce, Charles Baudelaire, Paul Verlaine, Arthur Rimbaud, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Amedeo Modigliani, Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh, Oscar Wilde, Marcel Proust, Aleister Crowley, Erik Satie, Edgar Allan Poe, Lord Byron and Alfred Jarry.
Eastern part of Fee Glacier (Feegletscher) seen from Längfluh Cable Car station (2,870 m). The Fee Glacier as a whole is a lot bigger, this is only one section of it.

That sound is so indicative of an early spring morning; for some it recovers memories steeped in nostalgic feeling.
For me, it means the beginning of another full, beautiful spring migration.
