Dans le pays des fées naquit une demoiselle ;
Se presseront pour voir ta démarche mutine ;

Rising out of Glen Doll forests a naturally formed viewing platform gives us a perfect of the dramatic Corrie of Fee. Quite a breath taking sight as the Corries (or cliffs) rise steeply from the wide valley. We shall be climbing up near the waterfall in the distance so proably best not stand around too long, as we have 2 summits to make today.
After a trip back up to Aberdeen for meetings at the office, I stayed a little longer to climb Mayar and Driesh. Mayar stands at 928 meters (3044 feet) and is my 29th Munro, and gives me the 10% of Munro's bagged I have always wanted. Driesh, at 947 meters (3106 feet), is my 30th Munro and the 2nd of the two I climbed this day.

RoidWeek Autumn 2024 - day 6 / 2
I met a fairy and her bright smile!
I spent Friday evening puddle hunting in Seattle. The storm was still heavy when we arrived but I didn't mind the free shower. It felt nice to see rain again, it's been too long.
This was a night of unfortunate events. I locked my keys in my trunk. That moment when you stare at your keys while the trunk is closing..... only a $75 fee to unlock it....after his first offer of $169 + $20 service fee. I asked if that price included oral favors! To top it off we were recording an R&B show in which I forgot to press record during the first half of the show....doh!
In the end, I got my puddle shots. That made me happy.
This lovely view was always one of our favourites back during our time in Scotland. Part of the Angus Glens the natural amphitheatre carved into the mountains after the last ice age, is part of a circular walk which also encompasses two munros. With the heather all purple it made for a fantastic day out!
