Looking up the Crake Valley towards the Old Man of Coniston covered in fresh snowfall.

The fields above Redcastle on the northern side of the Beauly Firth have some interesting structural remains (possibly) within them. Whenever I pass I wonder what used to be here now overgrown by trees.

Red for Valentineâs day and the Chinese New Year.

 

In Chinese culture; red symbolizes joy and good fortune and is the dominant color for the New Year celebration.

Cat gave me these gorgeous lilies a little while ago and they are now starting to die. I wanted a photo of them before they did as I love them.

Joey is magnificent. Everyday I tell him that he is the cutest chinchilla in the world.

The snowbird seemed aptly named this morning, perched on a mound of snow.

Busy day of fighting the demons of self doubt and imposter syndrome today. This is why I don't like the quiet days that run on and on... when I am working and busy my mind doesn't go to those unwanted places.

 

I combated it a bit by starting to learn some new techniques to bring into my work... when some eventually appears!
