It was magical for a few minutes yesterday morning. As soon as the sun came over the ridge, the mist disappeared.

A little progress on the sweater project.

So I did almost 18 miles. Slowly. And my legs feel fine. I did 18 miles yesterday and my legs were a little sensitive. But overall I feel like I've been a slacker lately because I haven't been doing much yoga - which is part of the reason why my legs haven't been doing all that great. I feel like I should make some sort of declaration here about how much yoga I'm going to do everyday, but I know if I put it in the description of a 365 it's very likely that I'll live up to it. Which means I might have a grueling year.

I'll do a minimum of an hour everyday. Because it's good for me.

This is a really boring subject.

Like many other people, I'm posting from the wonderful blooming of trees already in Atlanta area, all due to the recent 70-degree days...

The river was amazingly clear this PM. I stood in one spot on the bridge, trying to figure this out. It wasn’t until I’d walked a bit further and changed my perspective that I figured it out. Can you?

Last weekend the conditions were brutally cold. On Friday night the wind chill dropped to minus 108 on the top of Mount Washington, breaking the US record. Down here in the Merrimack Valley, we experienced very low temperatures also, as the thermometer hit minus 14 and the wind chill dropped to around minus 34 degrees. Just before sunrise on Saturday morning, when I made this image, it was still brutally cold outside.

But I didn't have to worry about any of that, since I was standing in my living room in basketball shorts when I clicked the shutter release for this one. This intricate pattern of ice fractals formed overnight on the storm door on the front of our house and was gone about an hour after sunrise. And while I was able to beat the cold and wind, I was not entirely free of distractions, as we were trying to get breakfast together and both of my daughters were actively crying the moment I composed this photo. Arguably tougher conditions than minus 108.

p.s. I will try my hardest to limit myself to one Disney character title per month, but the real ones know I had to name this one Elsa. The fractals line is the best line of the song.

front hedge sparkles in the morning sun brr it's cold though
