Bought some roses for my wife at Valentines and of course that gives me the chance to photograph them. With the - 35 degree wheather we have been having that is better than being outside.

A sunny day with some wind in the middle of February - but Collioure in South of France looks as inviting as ever.
I suppose it makes sense somewhere but not to me bought up on the unified railway that was British Rail. 20189+20142 have this morning made the journey light engine from Kings Norton to the Midland Railway Centre to collect a single engineers wagon (Railvac 2) to move it around 15 miles to Toton North yard. They are then booked light engine back to Kings Norton.
A round trip of around 120 miles to move one wagon 15 miles. You would have thought a quick out and back from a locomotive at Toton would have made more sense.

After Golden Ponds reopened I decided to take a peek. The bridge and spillway are still blown out on pond #1 so access there is off limits. The bridge across the river and routes around the other ponds are open so I decided to check that out. I carried the variable ND filter and decided to try it again although I am sour on it. It did snag this and decided to work in it. This appears to be largely a two stage exposure that ended up rather ethereal.
I always understood dream time was the Aboriginies' connection to their distant past. I looked it up on Wiki and definitions were fairly spread. I am convinced that this is America's dream time but we seem to have no connection to the past so we will have to start it up all over again. I suppose that we won't be able to restart the works until the petroleum wars are over and their paid righties have been dumped. GOD! are we Americans a stupid people! Rightie idiots spew garbage that evidence belies and folks are voting against their own best interests. We need to REQUIRE a time clock in congress that reports directly to the internet and why they think the NEW Deal DIDN'T work for a few decades.
This time was at the end of January. My winter shots are pretty darn bleak and without a sky so I opted for for the variable neutral density filter. I will say that the filter pretty much sucks but I have gotten a couple of shots after some practice. That makes another of my treks in just a few days. I am happy if I can bring anything back.
Here is yet another winter trees picture; I will be a terror when spring comes as if I weren't a terror all along. This autumn painted the area as a disaster but now, even the trees are bare. When I first saw this, I didn't think I could make anything of the sky but I guess a blank one will have to do for today. The skies have been a really mixed bag lately.
Good morning and happy Monday, everyone!

The elegance of Victorian engineering can be see here at the Old Crossness Pumping Station. Re-enactors, smoke machines and lights brought the place to life. We even had a model with lasers at her fingers tips! Loads more to see at -https://davebowles.smugmug.com/People-Models-Steampunk-workers-etc/19th-February-2022-Crossness-pumping-station/

Now
Don't worry guys, I'm not getting married (at least i don't know about it).
Like I said, my B-Day is in February, and last year my parents presented me this ring.
I just tried to make a sweet romantic shot :)
I used Simon Says Stamp February Card Kit for this card and sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
