The beautiful end to a cold February day in Venice Italy.

Kenosha, WI

If you are thinking to drive down a side street in a blizzard like I did here because there is some cool scenery down that road and you have the camera in the car....yeah, it's not a good idea.

February, when the days of winter seem endless and no amount of wistful recollecting can bring back any air of summer.

These photos were taken on 17th of February in Sofia, Bulgaria where a protest against the power companies currently in service was organised. Although these companies were involved in corrupt activities and some even proven to have violated multiple legislation, there was heavy police and riot-police presence throughout the protest. There were clashes when the crowd reached the main office of the power company serving Sofia and that's when the police's complete lack of hesitation to use brutal force was evident. Riot police armed with shield and bats stormed into the crowd hitting people in their way. Fortunately no protestants were badly hurt.

If you want to use any of these photos, ask for permission- I have plenty more material lying around.

Whilst looking at the books in our holiday appartment found this 50 year old diary.

Brand new Metrobus Mk2As would replace Leyland Nationals on this service in March 1990. Some was brand new to Perry Barr others are 2nd hand from Birmingham Central around 2 years old.

Downtown looked like if it is in a bit of smog. Isn't this weather amazing?

Dear Dottie will represent February since she and I both share it as our birthday month!

Such a goofy & unflattering shot lol. I took this one expecting to delete it right away but somehow I ended up sort of liking it. Since there were no others I liked more from this day, it's the one I chose.

Spring is almost here (at least here in NorCal). For the first day of February, I wanted to capture a new beginning, and thought of shooting the plum blossom buds in my back yard I noticed yesterday. I was surprised when I went back there with my camera and saw a fully opened blossom! I love how the branches are kind of symmetrical too.

I joined a climbing gym today and can't wait to start going on a regular basis and get back into rock climbing. I've been wanting to get more fit and back in shape, and finally took that first step!

I also started wearing my awesome, hot, new Bvlgari sunglasses I photographed as my January 26th image.

February 1st... A day of many new beginnings!

Im such a slack arse at doing these on time. March (My birthday month) I promise to make a big effort.

:)

Enjoy the rest of february all.

Please vote for my very short film, you can win freebies!! And I think Ive gone as far as I can, looking at all the clever profesh films in the 10 places in front of me. The winners are announced on MY BIRTHDAY next month, now wouldnt that make my day??? huh, but Im just a tin pot amateur with some ideas, so to get as far as I have with my Heath Robinson approach to film making feels kinda good!

Thanks. Over and Out.

Oops, I seem to have lost the comment I made here... so here we are in February, half-term time again and we are off to Budapest for a long weekend. Repo and Cluadiu came over from their native Timisoara and proved to be excellent hosts, showing us all teh best places in this grand city. And we were lucky to have the sun shining for us, the start of a long sunny and dry spring which took as all the way to mid-June when the summer rains started.

We went to Leicester for the Comedy Festival at the end of February.

Saturday we had such a good day!

A massive breakfast to start with, fuelling for the day.

We saw our friends Chris and Phil performing their brilliant Halls Of Ridiculous show at the Real Ale Classroom beofre going across the road to see our friend Eddie Feench doing his show Posetr.

Both fantastic shows and we laughed so hard! And it was brilliant to catcvh up with them after the shows too.

Afterwards we had a trip to the Rainbow And Trout where we met the lovely Jackie then on the Dover Castle for another great drag show, where we also met the lovely Pasuline.

A cracking day!

In the Dover Castle with the lovely Pauline.

Ok, here's the story. I went to see The Metroshifter tonight. They played in a club just around the corner from my house. Their show was part of a disco-kinda-thing-night called "Rockbar". When I came in I seriously thought I'd be the only one knowing the band. Thank god I was wrong, but still … the majority of the people was about 20 years old, wearing way too tight pants, way too much color in their faces (girls AND boys) and probably spending way too much time on Myspace … you know what I'm talking about. These guys who call themselves "emo" but shrug their shoulders when you ask them about Rites Of Spring or Embrace. So anyways, actually I thought about posting a picture I took of the "dancing" crowd after Metroshifter where done, you know, when they acted tough because the dj played Walls Of Jericho and some of that crap kids of today call "emo" … but now, sitting in front of the computer at 2:42 am I figured it's just not worth it … those stupid, bored fucks will definitely NOT make it on any of my photos-of-the day. Well, so I decided to give them what they deserve: contempt and disdain. Instead I chose a picture of that tram I had to wait for when trying to cross the street on my way home. Felt like I had to share some of that disrespect I have for those kids before going to sleep … call me arrogant or old or closed minded or whatever, for me it was about time …

I took this back in February this year. Went through a lot of my archives and I had so many images I don't even remember having taken, any more. I just liked the peace in this. Although some of you probably call these eye sores, I like them.

I FINALLY found a nice shelving unit to display a rotating display of my Pyrex! Nabbed it at the Sally Anne's on Burnside (Victoria) for $14.99.

Here's my first display......pink for February!

sorry guys, this is cheating, it was taken february 10. BUT, legit excuse, i was on the airplane for all of this day, and used that picture for february 10...if you know what i mean. yes, traveling becomes quite complicated when crossing time-zones, i apologize.

but here i am at the moulin rouge standing ontop of a vent that was shooting out FREEZING COLD air into the already freezing environment, but we all risked it to get some adorable photos.

photo cred to radhika :)

IU Kokomo held a small party to celebrate staff birthdays during the month of February.

for little miss lydia to wear this fall. I cant wait to get her picture in it.

February is a short month, so, here's a short video.

Over 350 SOOC photos used for this one. I will forever have bad quality.

I don't like the ending again. Maybe I'll find my muse in March.

Some photos were taken by my friend Blanca.

I have to admit something here. I am a person who probably gets a little bit too excited about pens. There's actually a lot of things that make me more excited than I should be about them, but pens are at the very top of that long list of things. And I'm not talking those promotional pens you get from the cheesy politican trying to trick you into voting for them, I'm talking (relatively expensive bu can't ever have enough of them) artist pens. When my mum goes abroad she usually brings my sister and I some gifts, my (16 year old) sister gets clothes from Forever 21 and I get pens (and long sleeved shirts). Always.

These were my mum's technical drawing pens way back when before she decided not to become an architect but a psychologist instead. They've not been used in probably something like 25 years so there's a lot of gunk that I need to clean off of them before I'm actually going to be able to use them, but I think that gunk just adds to the charm for the photo's sake.

And now I'm being rushed to go downtown for a beer with my mates, so this description is being cut short. Except I wanted to say that this setup reminds me of skyscrapers (and I doubt there'll be any actual skyscrapers in my 365, not so many tall buildings in Iceland).

Designed by Debbie Budge. I used We R Memory Keepers paper and the following templates to make this month's calendar: Madison Avenue 3a, Abbie Road 1b, Scallops 1a, Strips, Tiny Wildflower 1T and 4T, Nature 1, Sweetheart 1 and 2, Tiny Sweetheart 2T and 4T. I wanted to join the hearts together, just as Sarah and Jake did when they got married. So I put an eyelet in the middle of each heart and tied them together with ribbon strung with a tiny lock and key. I LOVE how it turned out!

Realizing I'm a year and a half behind on posting pics, I'm going to try posting by month, and play a bit of catch up. Presenting February of '17 .

There were patches of green peeking through, but another 8 inches cleared that right up...

This is a picture of the road in the Mare Island Shoreline Heritage Preserve that leads to the top of the hill near the end of Mare Island. Paul and Roper and I hiked up it near the end of February to take sunset pictures. No vehicle traffic was allowed on this road beyond the Visitor's Center. As evident in this shot, springtime arrives early here in northern California.
