For the Classroom displays group.....
Although this actually isn't a classroom display.
It's a bulletin board in a school hallway.
And yes, it's no longer February......February was so insanely busy for me that I didn't get around to taking these bulletin board pics and downloading them until the end of February. (At least I managed to get shots of it! I was going to take photos of my January bulletin board, but completely forgot......when I finally remembered, the next teacher assigned to it had already taken it down.)
Each of the classroom teachers at my school is assigned a school bulletin board for each month. Because our school is a multi-level school and some bulletin boards are in locations with a lot of foot traffic while others are more isolated, we have a rotation system.
My February board was in a high-visibility area, so I didn't meet my half-hour-or-less rule......I decided that it would be nicer to die-cut the letters.

Bad day but things will get better eventually.
Anyway, this is the block I live on. It was snowing really hard while I was walking home.
Praying for a snow day tomorrow!

p.s.: i've fallen behind with my 365, so i'm posting some b/w shots taken over the last few weeks. mea culpa.
February is coming to a close and with it the 2014/15 snowflake photography season starts to wind down. Ironically I've had few opportunities to photograph snowflakes in the past few weeks not because winter is fading and things are warming up, but rather because it is so cold that Lake Michigan has almost completely frozen over. As the ice cover grows on the lake there is less lake effect snow.
I've been photographing snowflakes at this location for some time now, and if past experience is a guide there are just 2-3 weeks left to the snowflake season....
And I'm not complaining about that!
These were all quite small - Pentax K-3, DFA 50mm lens reverse mounted on 250-350mm of extension (usually on the longer end of that range.)
16 February 2020, Irbid, Jordan: Fatima Al-Omari looks out over her garden in Al-Mazar. She is one of many beneficiaries to recently have received support from the LWF in setting up home-based farming in the area of Al-Mazar. By providing tools and seeds, the project has helped 150 families grow food for themselves and, in some cases, also earn an income from selling their surplus at local markets. Early season crocuses bloom during a warm stretch late in February. It's sharp contrast to the early March weather we're having today, as a strong Nor Easter is looming over us today.

60 degree February day in DC. Grabbed the fixie and split early from Capitol Hill for a ride up the Capitol Crescent to Bethesda. Took a quick break at the Georgetown Waterfront to snap a pic of the Raleigh with the Watergate and Kennedy Center in the background.
this is the photo i meant to post for this day in february but i got behind on scanning and i used an instagram shot instead. who says you can't play catch-up? you can see the rest of that week of photos here. i'm thinking of replacing the shot in the post but i'm torn. thoughts?
this was taken in Sweet Home, Oregon. Cal's favorite uncle lives there. We like to visit him. I got a kick out of these mailboxes. Only in rural places will you find this kind of set up.
56/366 . taken around noon on a cloudy, snowy, chilly day.
Not fan of rain in February to be perfectly honest. I don't mind the rain, though. It's the low temperatures that accompany it.
My grade school had portraits of Washington and Lincoln on the walls. Also each grade has the same kind of clocks.

These photos were taken on 17th of February in Sofia, Bulgaria where a protest against the power companies currently in service was organised. Although these companies were involved in corrupt activities and some even proven to have violated multiple legislation, there was heavy police and riot-police presence throughout the protest. There were clashes when the crowd reached the main office of the power company serving Sofia and that's when the police's complete lack of hesitation to use brutal force was evident. Riot police armed with shield and bats stormed into the crowd hitting people in their way. Fortunately no protestants were badly hurt.
If you want to use any of these photos, ask for permission- I have plenty more material lying around.
