The "Oriole" is replica of a Great Lakes steamship, she serves as a tour boat. She features 2 decks, upper is an open air sightseeing deck and below is a dining room. The size of the boat is 21 m long and 7 m wide, MMSI 316044324.

Just a few miles east of Grand Canyon Village, visitors can stand at Yaki Point and see a distinctly different view of the Grand Canyon from other viewing areas. It is located on a separate promontory and provides views of different features of the Canyon.
This blue hour photograph of Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sands (MBS) with drifting clouds was taken from the building roof of Marina Barrage. The lit natural and super-trees in the Garden, domes and distinctive boat-like roof top design of MBS, are some of the attractive features of Marina Bay. The floating pontoon in the right foreground provides space for small vessels to be moored.

Quebec City, Quebec
Constructed between 1877 and 1886, the Parliament Building features the Second Empire architectural style[2] that was popular for prestigious buildings both in Europe (especially France where the style originated) and the United States during the latter 19th century. Although somewhat more sober in appearance and lacking a towering central belfry, Quebec City's Parliament Building bears a definite likeness to the Philadelphia City Hall, another Second Empire edifice in North America which was built during the same period. Even though the building's symmetrical layout with a frontal clock tower in the middle is typical of legislative institutions of British heritage, the architectural style is believed to be unique among parliament buildings found in other Canadian provincial capitals Its facade presents a pantheon representing significant events and people of the history of Quebec.

Positano is a cliffside village on southern Italy's Amalfi Coast. It's a well-known holiday destination with a pebble beachfront and steep, narrow streets lined with boutiques and cafes. Its Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta features a majolica-tiled dome and a 13th-century Byzantine icon of the Virgin Mary. The Sentiero degli Dei hiking trail links Positano to other coastal towns

The robin features prominently in British folklore and that of northwestern France, but much less so in other parts of Europe. It was held to be a storm-cloud bird and sacred to Thor, the god of thunder, in Norse mythology. But this one was quietly waiting for me in the Jardins de Bagatelle.
Bunschoten-Spakenburg is a beautiful village with wonderful authentic features, hospitable people and modern shops and catering establishments. There is still plenty of attention for history and culture, but one cannot put back the clock. Plenty of activities and wonderful events are held in this village, in addition to women in traditional costume and ‘old men’ telling their stories in Spakenburg dialect on a bench at the harbour. In short, this is the best of both worlds!
Bunschoten has an agrarian origin, which is evident from the many farms and rural character. Spakenburg was a real fishing village located at the Zuyder Zee, later the IJsselmeer. And this can also be seen in and around the harbours with many fishing boats and other beautiful ships. The centre of Spakenburg is located around the old museum harbour with an active wharf. The lovely shops, the Saturday market, the historical buildings, the museums and friendly cafés and restaurants with their outdoor cafés ensure a wonderful time in an authentic village. Everyone is welcome in Bunschoten-Spakenburg
Corbett’s Glen nature park features Allen’s Creek , marsh, open woodlands surrounded by hills deposited as glaciers once covered the area melted and receded.

An adult green heron’s side profile features a glossy greenish-black crown and shaggy crest contrasting sharply with deep chestnut-maroon sides of the neck. Its dagger-like bill is primarily blackish-brown, though the lower mandible often shows yellow-green at the base. The eye stands out with a bright yellow to orange iris, set behind dull yellow-green lores (which can turn blue-black during the breeding season). A distinct white vertical stripe runs down the chin and throat, often accented by a pale cream-colored line extending from the base of the bill.

The fumaroles at Steamboat Point are the first major thermal features a visitor will encounter when entering Yellowstone National Park from the East Entrance. Fumaroles are vents or openings at the surface where volcanic gases and vapors are emitted. Faint to loud roars and hissing can be heard as the gas escapes the vent. Most of the vapor emitted by fumaroles is steam, formed as groundwater circulates deeply through heated rock. The water vapor mixes with volcanic gases given off by magma deep below in Yellowstone’s caldera. These volcanic gases include sulfur compounds, such as various sulfur oxides and hydrogen sulfide which accounts for the sulfur or “rotten egg smell” visitors may notice. There are no geysers that erupt water here. The fumaroles at Steamboat Point are some of the thermal features associated with the Marys Bay hydrothermal explosion crater that forms this rounded bay on the northeast side of Yellowstone Lake. There are several such hydrothermal explosion craters scattered across Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. They range from tens of feet to more than a mile across. This one at Marys Bay is not only the largest hydrothermal explosion crater documented in Yellowstone but it is also the largest in the world. It measures 1.5 miles (2.6 km) in diameter and forms an embayment on the north side of Lake Yellowstone. The crater, which formed 13,800 years ago, may have been the result of several separate explosions over a short period of time. The cause or trigger for these hydrothermal explosions are not fully understood but pressure release due to glacial melting, earthquakes, or rapid changes in lake levels could be significant factors. Geological studies have found that these large, violent hydrothermal events are independent of associated volcanism. In the past 16,000 years, none of these events have been followed by an eruption of magma. The deeper magma systems seen unaffected by these sometimes spectacular steam explosions in their overlying hydrothermal systems.
Ha Long Bay features over 1,600 limestone karsts and islets rising dramatically from emerald-green waters. These formations, shaped by 500 million years of geological evolution, are dotted with caves, grottoes, and secluded beaches.
The name “Ha Long” translates to “Descending Dragon”, derived from a local legend. According to the tale, a dragon descended from the heavens to protect Vietnam from invaders, creating the bay’s rocky islands by thrashing its tail.
On the roof of the boat you may notice three animated drone operators who are ecstatic over a perfect sunrise. One of the sunrises I will never forget.
Trap Pond State Park is a 3,653[1] acre (8.5 km²) Delaware state park located near Laurel, Delaware, USA. It is one of the largest surviving fragments of what was once an extensive wetland in what is now southwestern Sussex County. The state park features an extensive patch of bald cypress trees.

Valencia is also known as the orange city. Valencia is Spain's third economic engine, after Madrid and Barcelona. Valencia was founded in 138 BC. under the name Valentia Edetanorum, by a Roman leader. Valencia has a Mediterranean climate with warm summers and very mild winters. Valencia, like the entire region of Valencia, is officially bilingual; they speak both Spanish and Valencian. Valencian is very closely related to Catalan. Spanish Valencia is more than beach and paella. The highlight that you do not want to miss are the modern buildings of Calatrava. The 'Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències' or 'the City of Arts and Sciences' is a cultural and scientific complex of seven special buildings designed by Calatrava and is located in the drained Turia River of Valencia. It includes Spain's finest aquarium L'Oceanographic, a planetarium, an IMAX theatre, a science museum and a striking event hall. This science park is definitely the number one attraction of Valencia!
The Science Museum - Ciències in Valencia presents scientific exhibitions that will surprise you from the moment you arrive. A Foucault pendulum hangs from the glass ceiling of the museum. This invention proves that the earth rotates on its own axis. The third floor is home to another major attraction: an array of flying machines, including a Mirage III, a reproduction of Gaspar Brunet's plane, which flew the first in Spain; and a model of an invention by Leonardo da Vinci. This is the great 21st century science museum to learn all about life, science and technology in a didactic, interactive and entertaining way. Full interactivity is one of its special features, with the motto: "Forbidden not to touch, not to feel, not to think". In order to generate a pleasant learning process in which the visitor always actively participates.

Kata Tjuta in the Australian Northern Territory features heavily in the Aboriginal dreamtime stories, "Tjukurpa"- the foundational belief system of the Aboriginal indigenous people.
Kata Tjuta means "many headed" as it is made up of 36 separate domes made up of conglomerate rock. The rocks are also called the Olgas or Mount Olga named by the explorer Ernest Giles after Queen Olga of Wurttemberg. Travel has certainly always been a dream of mine and visiting places like these are top of the list.

I had a chance to get out on a rainy morning a couple of days ago, and just drink it in. It was a glorious time!
Although it never poured, rain was dripping down through the canopy enough that I had trouble finding a place to change lenses. The result was that I worked with the 12mm a lot. Conditions were good, and it was a good exercise in learning to make the most of its features (while avoiding its weaknesses).
This is one of the images that really captures what it felt like to be out there with the bright, misty, foggy atmosphere and the glowing leaves.

Number five in this series features Stuart, a small Iowa town in Adair County with around 1,800 residents. The old downtown area in Stuart has some lovely historic buildings, with trendy retail shops and varied dining options. For example, Doe A Deer is a home goods store offering kitchenware, specialty foods and other gifts. Next door, the Maven Blush Boutique offers chic and stylish women's apparel and accessories.

About the series: Life in a small Midwestern town often means a slower pace of life, close-knit communities, and a strong connection to the land and agriculture. Residents typically have a strong sense of pride in their hometown and a friendly, neighborly attitude. Small towns usually have limited employment and entertainment options, but the tradeoff is typically a lower cost of living and a quieter, more peaceful environment. The seawall in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, is a stone wall that was constructed around the perimeter of Stanley Park to prevent erosion of the park's foreshore. Colloquially, the term also denotes the pedestrian, bicycle, and rollerblading pathway on the seawall, one which has been extended far outside the boundaries of Stanley Park and which has become one of the most-used features of the park by both locals and tourists. James "Jimmy" Cunningham, a master mason, dedicated his life to the construction of the seawall from 1931 until his retirement. Even after he retired, Cunningham continued to return to monitor the wall's progress, until his death at 85. While the whole path is not built upon the seawall, the total distance from CRAB park, around Stanley Park and False Creek to Spanish Banks is about 30 kilometres (19 mi).

There are two alleys in the San Francisco Mission District that are covered in murals - often painted on garage doors. This one is the only one with a fence in front. It features Iranian women who have spoken out against the authorities.

A picturesque tall white-harled house on the north side of the junction between Back Causeway and The Cross in Culross (W FIfe), The Study dates from c.1610. This is said to be where Bishop Leighton of Dunblane (1611-84), who lived nearby in Bishop Leighton's House, composed his sermons. Built as a merchant's house, next to Culross Palace one of the finest in Culross, the building was acquired by the National Trust for Scotland in the 1930s. It was renovated by Ian G. Lindsay and Partners in 1959, winning a Civic Trust Award in 1962. The Study is now A-listed and is open to the public for guided tours.
The building is L-plan and comprises a three-storey main block, with a tower facing the street which rises higher. This contains a turnpike stair, with the upper stage corbelled out and containing the actual study. The orange pantiled roofs feature crow-stepped gables and catslide dormers. The windows to the front feature lattice leadwork and wooden shutters below, allowing the windows to open. Inside there are original fireplaces and timber panelling, while the beamed ceiling of the first-floor room is a reconstruction of the 1960s, brightly painted with fruit and flowers in homage to its 17th century forerunner.
My much more experienced and expert Florida Landscape photographer friend and I were out on an exploratory in his boat when we could see the sky getting ready to put on a show. We didn't have a place to go and i was resigned to just enjoy it, sans camera. However, just as it was starting to pop Greg found a shallow spot to put the boat. We both jumped out without time to consider lens or change clothes for the water. It was worth getting wet. What a show. Thanks Greg!
