I would have been a year old when this picture was taken... and I do believe this is the same house that's in the following photo. The window with the air conditioner would have been their bedroom... next to it, was eventually an enclosed workshop that he had.
I can't be sure of this. But since it was taken from the same set of pictures as the other... I'm gonna say that it is. However, the three trees in the front yard seemed, to me,to be much further away from the house than this. Of course, I was younger then... and perhaps there were some other trees closer to the fence.
... I should Google Earth this address and see what comes up... a parking lot? :-(

Totally fed up with being horizontal after my operation the "Gang" and I with me hobbling along on crutches behind decided to take an afternoon to go around the fabulous Old Bladbean Stud. Part of the "ngs" national garden scheme, a charity where private and economic gardens open on special days to raise money for the following charity's:
Macmillan Cancer Support - Marie Curie Cancer Care - Help the Hospice - Carers Trust - Queen's Nursing Institute - NT Gardening Careerships - Parkinson's UK - Perennial and the Garden Museum. Old Bladbean Stud nr Stelling Minnis comprises five interlinking gardens created from scratch by the current owner who we met and discussed the thinking behind the design. There is a walled garden full of old fashioned roses, a white and a yellow garden, long lawn and Victorian borders stuffed full of roses, lupins, delphiniums, alliums, fox-gloves, grasses and organic vegetables and fruit. The whole site is self sufficient using solar panels, wind turbines, heat exchangers and rain water collectors and the site is organic allowing the plants and insects to form a microclimate and to self seed. Fabulous, fabulous garden and open throughout the year to allow viewing of the garden throughout the seasons. Add a fabulous tea with "happy birthday size" pieces of home made cake and a brilliant afternoon was had by all!

My dad's side of the family is full of mechanics... a trait I most definitely did not inherit.
In this photo is my dad(Joe, in front), My uncle Jim(on the right), My grandpa Cunningham(on the left), and uncle Robert(in back).
My dad and uncle Jim are brothers... uncle Robert married my aunt Mary... who is my dad's sister. Uncle Robert's brother Mike married one of my dad's other sisters... aunt Catherine. www.flickr.com/photos/18286504@N00/534081473/
I'm posting this photo just cause I think it's cool. I guess that would be my father's rear facing us. The handsome man in front of him is Roy Halcombe... I know this only because the back of the photo says so.
Personally, I really like the guy way back there with the nice swim suit on.

Photos taken on fathersday 2009 at starved rock state park in illinois. I used a lumix l1 with a two zuiko lenses, the 25mm f2.8 pancake, and the 14-42 zoom. I also had a polarizer attached on both lenses.
I must be around 5 here. None of us look too thrilled to be having our picture taken... he looks abit old in this shot. Both my parents were older than average(?) when I was born. My mom was around 38. My dad was probably in his 40's...
My dad is a member of the Ulysses Motorbike club, This is the club badge.
This cake was really rushed, as i had to make 2 fathers day cake in 1 day:(
You dont have to look very closely to see the imperfections :) haha
Following Paul's example, I thought I'd embarrass my father too. He is getting 6 pints of ale out of me..... I think it's fair.

I don't know the year or the occasion on this one... I just think it's neat... I do have two more pictures that were taken at the same time. One with his sister, Aunt Catherine, and the other with another lady who was a friend of the family.

After my parents split up. I remember hearing about him going to Sweden for awhile through his work... he was still living in Florida at the time.
This photo is a professional shot that was taken for the brochure that follows... I believe it's some kind of fan or motor related item. But I do not speak the language that is on the brochure... at one point over the years, a couple of my aunts went to visit him. I believe this is how I came to have these items. Though I know very little about this part of his life.
