Thanks for voting for this little cuppie :))) i couldn't believe so many of you voted for me xoxoxox to all of you

A Fathers Day gift from my daughter in Portland, Or. Just arrived this morning.

I wondered why on earth she was sending me a bouquet of flowers. But they are not flowers. It is a wonderful collection of edible fruit. Grapes, melon, strawberries, pineapple, avocado, watermelon, .........all on a stick. The empty stick in the center had delicious ice cold watermelon balls on it.

Something I had never seen and a unique gift.

One of the Grandkids gave me a box of Whoppers, that I love......but this one is probably better for you.........

If this is something you'd like to look into you can find it online under "Edible Arrangements"

Happy Fathers' Day

Have a good one.

My father lost his wife of 60 years today. However, he got to hold his new great granddaughter for the first time. One does not replace the other but new joys often sustain us through loss. My mother, who left this life this afternoon had the joy of seeing the newborn as well, just a few short days ago. It's nice to know that even with the challenge and distance wrought by my mother's recent situation, both of them got to see the beginning of a whole new chapter of our family story.

Happy Father's Day! Father and son snapped with a Super Multi Coated Takumar 50/1.4.

We interrupt Strasbourg to thank the fathers.

The girls prepared a nice picnic for Father's Day. We ate, took photos of PHL, and played catch in the grass. It was perfect!

Voor alle vaders, maar speciaal voor mijn eigen vader: fijne Vaderdag!!!

Thinking about my Dad (top left) who is no longer with us and Stu's Dad (bottom right) who is still with us. Wishing them both a Happy Father's Day.

My sister with the little one.

And a happy father's day to all my fellow PAPA-razzi's out there!

It was difficult to get either of these guys to stand in front of a camera and smile. I was fortunate to get my dad on the left, at his Golden Wedding Day party just 7 months before he died in 1979. Clara’s Dad passed in 1994 at the age of 89, this image was taken when he was much younger.

My dad never built anything bigger than a work bench, but he built a 2 story summer cottage for us. My older brother and I were in HS. Dad only went to 8th grade so we were going to razzle dazzle him with our knowledge of geometry and math. He built it with almost no help and he figured out the angles of the staircase and the roof with a square, and no help from his smart alec sons.

Clara’s Dad was the boss of the school bus maintenance and drivers. He tried to be the stern master but everyone who worked for him knew he had a heart that was soft as marshmallow.

Fathers Day on Sunday. My Father, a photo sent from India during WWII, he was a bomber pilot flying Liberators-B24's over Burma, India and the China Sea with SEAC 1941-45.

For me, Fathers Day is a quiet affair, in 2018 it was the day I very nearly did not come home from hospital with my brother, sister and Melanie standing by my bedside.

Just very glad, very lucky and thankful to be here with all my wonderful family and friends XXX

Fathers Day, Kings Birthday Celebration at Wat Thai DC

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads in the world including adopted dads and pet pawrent dads! In honor of father’s day, we are highlighting D. D'Auria and Sons Pork Store in the Little Italy of the Bronx. This amazing pork 🐖 store was in business from 1938 until 2006. Sadly, this mom-and-pop shop was forced to close after its 2nd-generation owner Mike could no longer run the #shop (as told to us by Mike) and no younger family member was interested in taking over the business. The main reason, however, that so many small businesses in NYC close after decades of business is due to a huge rent increase as most owners do NOT own the building their shop is located in. 35mm film photo from 2004 and full interview appear in our book, “Store Front: The Disappearing Face of New York”.
