Yes, that is the title of this album. I don't know what kind of family this is, but I bet there are all sorts of uncomfortable moments at family reunions.

This car and its driver were undoubtedly related to the guy standing across the street in a cruciform pose holding a huge picture of a fetus. But they are evidently pissed at a LOT of stuff at the Wee Kirk of the Bloodthirsty Savior; count how often they call for killing....
People like this are one reason I gave up religion. I am so glad these folks kept their mouths shut as we went by. It would have harshed my pleasant Milwaukee buzz.

Many religious Jewish families are large. I'm not sure how they manage to support themselves, but having many children is certainly an admirable quality, especially in our day and age. It must be a Jewish holiday again. Many stores in my neib are closed. On the left there are the typical Math Tutoring ads stuck to a light pole and two cyclists - riding a bicycle is a much cheaper way than maintaining a car and much faster than walking. I wish I had one.
This is one of my old files that I gave a new look through post editing. This is originally a black & white picture, but I decided to have it pimped with the touch of sepia so as to make it look old and classic. My aim of changing it to sepia is to capture the warmth afternoon as I see this father and son at peace along the Toledo port, Cebu.

Took a previous picture I posted of Anna Leigh's great great great grandmother, and her great grandmother that looked pretty traditional and played with the minimize technique and gave it sort of secretive, quieted, restricted look. Mary Jane Johnston Dawson and the little girl is Martha Jane Dawson.
My snap for "Snap Game" is a grownup and a child looking sort of mysterious and bizarre, and also having a sepia look. The thumbnail looks pretty traditional; you have to click on it to see what makes it have a different look.
It is my mother, and her grandmother, Anna Leigh's great grandmother and great great great grandmother.

I was trying to just get the girl and couldn't figure out how to frame out the man and woman while i was shooting this, until I saw the expressions on their faces and noticed the way they were grouped. Then THAT became the dynamic energy of the image.
For ds2009:
I chose the theme of diversity in cultures, races and religions.
Surprisingly there are still a number of myths to be dispelled concerning Down's syndrome and even now some people ask the question: âDoes Downâs syndrome exist in every raceâ?
I hope that my photos clearly show that cultural backgrounds, family values,
aspirations and environmental inïŹuences all help to shape the individuality of a person with Downâs syndrome, in the same way that it would for anyone else.
These images and more will be produced in a desktop diary for 2009, which will be available for purchase from the UK Down's Syndrome Association website, from mid-late September.

I saw this young family walking in the backstreets of the city and was struck by the timeless nature of the scene. Hopefully the image will stand the test of time.
