One of the spots Geena and I took photos next was this shaded part of the park where it offered a bit of soft, diffused light. Juxtaposed to the brightly lit background, it was just perfect. The way that she held her gaze was relaxing that she would have enjoyed her solitude if she were all by herself. It was just easy to photograph her.

Hiking at Ahornboden is an unforgettable experience, especially in autumn. The large Ahornboden in the Karwendel in Tyrol is famous for its incredibly beautiful foliage color. And then attracts with its over 2000 trees every year countless people to hike. It is not for nothing that the Große Ahornboden was even declared a natural monument.

THis was a drone shot I took last week of me standing on an overlook of a riparian area and hiking trail that leads deep into the canyon in the background.
A vibrant autumn forest road covered with golden leaves, surrounded by warm seasonal colors. The rich tones of yellow and orange create a peaceful and atmospheric fall scene, capturing the beauty of nature in transition.
While traveling along a quiet Colorado backroad, I came across this beautiful grove of Aspen trees. The timing couldn’t have been any better, late afternoon light filtered softly through the leaves as spotty clouds drifted above, creating a perfectly soft backlight. And, this is why it’s worth slowing down and letting the road lead the way.
When I’m on a photography trip, I rarely follow a set agenda. Instead, I let the conditions guide me. On this day, I noticed clouds building over a distant mountain range and decided to chase the weather. That wandering path ended up leading me to some incredible light. Ansel Adams once said, “Luck follows a prepared mind.” I’ve found that to be especially true in photography. Knowing where the most potential lies helps guide my choices, but some of the best moments still aren’t planned at all, they just unfold when preparation meets opportunity.

A golden forest of larches blankets the lower slopes as the rugged peaks of the Croda da Lago group rise sharply against a softly glowing sky.
