One of the many reasons I look forward to Fall - mushrooms. 🍄
During a recent trip to one of our favorite nature centers, we spotted quite a few mushrooms all throughout the woods.
Fortunately most were easily accessible, like this large group of mushrooms along one of the trails we were on.
Seen at Dauset Trails Nature Center.
I spent a long time trying to capture a leaf falling in the air. It's much harder than you would think!

Calanais Standing Stones
Fall here is southeastern Pennsylvania was beautiful--golden. We had the pleasure of watching autumn unfold day by day on our early morning walks. This was a quick iPhone shot processed with Snapseed and Distressed FX+.
Autumn weather is unpredictable and beautiful.Hurricanes, Indian summer, fog, frost and early snowstorms can all mark the season.
Autumn or fall, marks the transition from warm to cooler weather. It rarely is a smooth transition. Autumn weather can be erratic with alternating warm and cool days.
By far my most favourite Fall shot taken this year and almost straight from camera. I cloned out some power lines and towers in the distance, but no ramping of saturation or additional editing was required, this scene really was this vibrant yesterday in the late afternoon light. I took a shed load of images, all slight variations, so you may well be seeing this scene again....Apologies.
Fall, leaves, fall; die, flowers, away;
Lengthen night and shorten day;
Every leaf speaks bliss to me
Fluttering from the autumn tree.
I shall smile when wreaths of snow
Blossom where the rose should grow;
I shall sing when night’s decay
Ushers in a drearier day.

I watched the sun set behind the mountains on a lovely day in October, as the trees started to turn and the whole scene is reflected in the calm lake Almsee/Filzmoos in Austria.
Thank you so much for all your comments.
Fall colors - again from last year! This year I have not captured much - a combination of less than impressive colors in the area and me being busy.
Leaves are fun!

The fall colors are getting close to peak here in Fairbanks. I took a walk to get a few photos of the color.
HAPPY FALL 2017!!! It's the first day of fall and the color changes are coming. This image is a compilation of a couple of shots last fall. Not that colorful here yet.
In fact it is in the 90's again today! Yikes. With the lack of rainfall I fear our autumn may not be at it's best but I still can't wait for those fall colors!
Fall Passes Away 🍁🍂
~
Viewing cloud streaked skies,
Through yellowing, wind bent grass stalks,
Fall passes away;
Earth awaits the cold winter,
When landscapes are frozen white...
