And they say we don't have fall colors in California.

These tracks look like they are way out in the country somewhere, but are actually in the city of Pontiac. I lucked out and got no cars or people (especially since they cross a really busy road!) and did get great fall colors and a nice sky.

Vernal Fall is a 317 ft waterfall on the Merced River. Unlike Yosemite Fall or Bridalveil Fall it is not visible from the valley floor. We took the Mist Trail to the top of Vernal Fall, this is the view from about halfway. To the top of Vernal it is about a 2.5 mile hike with a 1,000 ft elevation gain. Once we reached the top of Vernal, we decided to go on to the top of Nevada Fall. This was the hardest hike I've ever done. Nearly 10 miles round trip and 2,000 ft elevation gain, but it was 100% worth it!

Taken with my E-M10 and processed with Luminar.

I feel especially lucky to have gotten this shot. So many trees have either not changed colour yet or have lost all their leaves already to due our overly warm summer and fall (so far).

On the way to Telluride

I was just looking at some of my fall shots in Yosemite last year. Here is some afternoon light in the Valley after a recent snow. This shot was taken 11/12/20

Thanks for looking!

The fall colors are getting close to peak here in Fairbanks. I took a walk to get a few photos of the color.

Fall colors on Williston Road

HAPPY FALL 2017!!! It's the first day of fall and the color changes are coming. This image is a compilation of a couple of shots last fall. Not that colorful here yet.

In fact it is in the 90's again today! Yikes. With the lack of rainfall I fear our autumn may not be at it's best but I still can't wait for those fall colors!

A typical fall day in the South. Gosh how I don't know how the folks further North cope with the cold. I guess I am weak. 20161125BullCreekDxLr16

Fall Passes Away 🍁🍂

~

Viewing cloud streaked skies,

Through yellowing, wind bent grass stalks,

Fall passes away;

Earth awaits the cold winter,

When landscapes are frozen white...

Colorado in the Fall

Went out to shoot some fall colors but, when I got there the sun went away and the rain was coming so I switched to macro.

" As the falling memories trickles on window

The sound had come back again

In this quiet down room...

and a canvass created through my window..."
