The colours during fall were amazing, but hard to capture. This was one with the contrast taken down just a little to show off all the different subtle colours in these trees.

when i was younger i didn't like the fall very much..i guess beause the fall means the end of summer and school.. wow... have things changed!!.. now i adore the fall and i adore the opportunities to learn and become more knowledgable and wiser.

A couple of weekends ago we had a real blaze of Fall across the river. Since then, wind and rain, and all the "pretty" has just about disappeared.
The sun rises over the South Fork of the Snake River in Swan Valley, Idaho. Fall Creek Falls is in the lower left.
I've taken this shot before but just as the Nikon D800 ad says..."SORRY BUT YOU'RE GOING TO WANT TO RESHOOT EVERYTHING YOU'VE EVER SHOT."
One of the fun and challenging aspects of photography is progression, doing something new or better, learning a new skill or method. Jay Masiel said that while art is thousands of years old, photography is a little over a hundred years old. We have barely scratched the surface of what can be done! So...shoot it again, make it better, make it unique, make it new again and relish every step of this journey that has no end.

I went to our local rocket launch, this rocket here has an 8 pound bowling ball on it.This rocket shot up around 8,000 feet into the sky. It was pretty cool to see in person.
Fall color isn't just for the trees! Grasses around ponds, lakes and the coast change color too. I took this one at a small lake in Illinois at dusk. When I looked at my LCD screen, I was astounded at all the colors that came through in the images. I didn't do anything to the colors in this in Photoshop, all I did was bump the contrast. The purple-blue color in the background is the color of the lake water at dusk.

At Hrafnarbjargafoss falls in the river Skjálfandafljót, N-Iceland.
This image has been on my mind for the last few days.... I was very undecided if I should post it or not....it's an old image and this weekend I am going after a better shot of this......Pending water levels will determine if I get this shot......I hope so because this is one amazing place!!!!!
Anyway, I hope you don't mind a very old image.....this was my first year shooting fall in the Mount Hood National forest. I am hoping to improve on it this weekend!!!!!

09 /12 / 2014..the fall leaves were still hanging and the night was still warm....no need for mittens or heavy coat and the lights were out and bright....
