Alright. Since I don't know when I'm going to get back on a computer, I'll post two tonight. It was an amazing day of shooting. This was right near the Maroon Bells, in Aspen. Tomorrow morning I will be up before sunrise and heading down to Ouray. Then Durango.
Normally I hate shooting backlit, but for fall trees, it really works. I love the way the leaves kind of glow when the light shoots through them.

These flowers were photographed two weeks ago in my back yard with my iPhone 4s.
The first hint of cooler weather causes the underground bulbs to shoot up growth. Within four or five days, they are blooming. Within 2 weeks it is all over and they wilt down to prepare for winter dormancy. Come the first hint of warmer Spring days, they'll do it all over again!
Fall arrived this morning at 0050 hours (12:50 AM) with the arrival of this year's Fall Equinox. Lots of colorful pumpkins and squash to celebrate with.
Autumn leaf color is a phenomenon that affects the normally green leaves of many deciduous trees and shrubs by which they take on, during a few weeks in the autumn season, various shades of red, yellow, purple, and brown
No treatment here and I don't usually like my over exposed shots but for some reason this worked for the subject. Fall shots are usually so dark and moody and it was a really sunny day and Yep these were out in Nov. seasonal confusion IMG_8634

Made a fall trip to Nashville and drove south on the Natchez Trace Parkway to photograph Jackson Falls. While I like the perspective and all of the leaves lining the bed of the upper part of the falls, the water was down to just a trickle.
I saw a lone leaf floating in the puddle with the reflection of my backyard maple tree, thought it to be interesting and instantly thought of the title.
Went for a quick early morning hike to try to get some fall colors along a nearby lake...the clouds didn't cooperate but that's life. Make the best of it.
