Fall starts early this year, some of the leaves already changed their colors.

The weather has been so beautiful these last couple of days! I went home yesterday for the night and took some pictures. All of our leaves are changing color and it is so pretty!

Sorry I haven't been on much lately. I've been really busy with school. I also took a Little for my sorority and last week was big/little week. It was a lot of fun. :)

The 29th is the last day of my 365 project. I did take a photo every single day though I didn't post them all here. I learned a lot from the project. Mostly that I never want to feel rushed or pressured to create my work. I also never want to put something out that I'm not proud of. Photography is my passion, but I also have other commitments in my life most importantly college. Maybe sometime in the future is I get a spare year I'll try this project again. But for now I'm happy just creating.

Thank you to everyone who has ever viewed a photo of mine. Your support means so much to me. I love this community and you all are my constant inspiration.

Have a great week!

Much love,

Caitlyn.

At the center of the mountain is the Lac Hertel, a lake in a glacially-formed depression in the middle of the various summits. It covers an area of 0.3 square kilometers, and has a maximum depth of 9 m (30 ft). It is fed by three permanent streams; a fourth flow from the lake toward the Richelieu river. The lake serves as a secondary reservoir of drinking water to the region, and, as such, swimming, fishing and boating are forbidden.[7]

The central position of the lake in the mountain has led to claims that states Mont Saint-Hilaire is a volcanic caldera. However, the lake is actually the result of glacial erosion, and in no way an ancient volcanic crater.

Enchanting Fall colors to brighten a gloomy day.

As the season is drawing to a close there will be winter snow ahead. Blessed to live in a area that brings four seasons to the valley.

Thank you all for your warm visits, comments, faves and invites.

I walk by these trees almost everyday with my dog. I decided to get a different view of them using a wide angle lens.

From Wikipedia

Bridalveil Fall is 188 metres (617 ft) and flows year round.[2] The glaciers that carved Yosemite Valley left many hanging valleys which spawned the waterfalls that pour into the valley. All of the waterways that fed these falls carved the hanging valleys into steep cascades with the exception of Bridalveil Fall. Bridalveil still leaps into the valley from the edge of the precipice, although that edge has moved back into an alcove from the original edge of the valley. While Yosemite Falls seem to also fall into this category, the original course took the Yosemite Creek down a gorge to the west of its current location.[3] The primary source of Bridalveil Falls is Ostrander Lake, some 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) to the south.

When the wind blows briskly, the waterfall will appear to be falling sideways. During lesser water flow, the falls often don't reach the ground. Because of this, the Ahwahneechee Native Americans called this waterfall Pohono, which means Spirit of the Puffing Wind.[4]

For this card I used the envelope pattern and the find joy set from HA.

The tree is one of the HA designs for the silhouette. The link to the shape is on the supplies on the blog.

This is a "you-brought-your-macro-lens-here-so-use-it" kind of shot. It turned out nice though.

It was taken in the national park Thingvellir on a rainy day. I shot it from hand and with this shallow depth of field, it wasn't that easy. I still think that the L lens with stabilization would be useful. I have to be honest, I had my tripod with me, but was to lazy to adjust it for macro when it was raining. I would have had to put the centre column upside down and that's just too much work.

One yellow leaf. Seeing this one yellow leaf on a tree made me feel hopeful that Fall is (finally) on its way.

life is a freefall

we're all falling

from the start

for love

for lies

for something to believe in

we fall forever

until someone catches us

but the fall doesn't stop

we just...

fall together

but sometimes

their arms get tired

they let go

we continue to fall

& they fall too

but no longer is it for one another

it's for one other

person to believe in

we aren't searching

we're falling for someone

who's worth the catch

in a split second they're there

in our arms

& in a familiar second they can be

just gone

but we don't stop falling

& our arms don't truly tire

they're always ready to catch someone new

even if we aren't

& we're always ready to wrap our arms

around a someone new

& even if we yet don't know it

life is a freefall

but the key is

to remember

we're not alone

we're all falling

a freefall

searching for something true
