Factory Farming

Near the U.S. Capitol in Washington DC.

This picture isn't what I envisioned... but the cropping I had in my head didn't work in real life... so this is what I settled for.

Maybe I'll be able to take the picture I see in my head later...

The reflection of the visitors at the Surrender Room.

This portion of the building has been conserved because of the room's historical significance. Most of the factory premises has been demolished and redeveloped for other uses. Note the clock, which was tuned to the time of the surrender.

The Cromford textile factory in Ratingen on the Rhine was founded in 1783 by Johann Gottfried Brügelmann and was the first factory on the European mainland. Today it is home to a branch of the LVR Industrial Museum.

Sorry for the late post, but in my defense its still Tuesday as far as I am concenred and I did need to wait til dark to take this. I hope you'll think it was worth the wait.

This is what I believe to be a cement factory just off campus. During the cool fall air it produces quite a bit of visible steam at night.

And yes, if you are curious, thats me. I figured I deserved to be in at least a few of the shots that go up here.
