There is much to do in the garden with all the rain we are getting. As much as I want the rain to stop for a bit, my garden is happy. When I took this picture of my Russian Sage, I noticed a face in the fence board. It seemed happy too. I do love my time in the garden. Happy Fence Friday everyone!

Nice to see Friendly Isle back in Burghead. Bonny morning for it too.

"Friendly Fox” by Patti Deters. This wild fox came trotting along as I was admiring a pretty misty morning in the woods. He didn’t seem concerned with me being in his space and was standing on a small hill of grasses and weeds, looking at the camera, long enough for me to take a photo. Almost like he was saying “hello”. These canines look a bit like a dog with their long nose and pointy ears, and this one had pretty rust-colored fur and big bushy tail. The white tip on the tail is what helps identify it as an American Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes fulvous). Overlays and textures added for artistic effect. i could do a whole series of photos of just this one squirrel. he was not afraid of me at all and didnt mind being a foot from me

... and a wonderful smile. How we used to communicate in the pre iPhone days!

Just a moment,

a quiet breath,

a settling back into yourself.

An autumn breeze slips through,

your faithful companion beside you —

could this be the grace I seek?

It's the ranch winter and I share. At ground level is a ranch and some carnival rides.

Note: You're welcome to come take photos. It's on mainland so if you're shooting, set your visible distance very low because there are a lot of skyboxes in the sky by people who own parcels nearby.

I love how we can transform ourselves into any kind of avatar in SL. So cool.

As Second Life is a collaborative effort much like movies, here is the credit roll.

The sits are meant for human avatars. Since the Flipsy avatar is a tiny, I had to do some hover corrections to bring myself down into the hands.

Despite his look, he was really friendly..and his ears were this way all the time!

The squirrels are so friendly at Greenwich Park. Always a delight when one comes this close.

This friendly and positive salesman knew that I will be taking his photo so he reached out to me and wanted to pose for the photoshoot! :-)

I found this little guy in some shrubs near a colony of monk parakeets. This species turns up every fall. This one is an immature male, not quite the deep red a mature male will be. Seemed happy to pose for a face shot.

IS AMSTERDAM THE “MOST BIKE-FRIENDLY CITY” ?

Amsterdam is the world’s most bicycle-friendly city. Well, that was true in 2011 and 2013 at least, according to the bi-annual Copenhagenize Index.

Ok... I promise this is the last squirrel photograph. End of my experiment with this squirrel - it is definitely not afraid of getting close. They are actually very fast and seem to communicate in some way with other squirrels. Apparently friendly, they like to be fed seeds, nuts, fruit. Enough of my friendly squirrel!

As I wandered southeast Hawthorne with my camera I made a new friend. Kneeling down I took the cats picture while it laid comfortably on the chair. So mellow, maybe the heat was a factor, or it could have belonged to the store owner and was use to strange people. =)

Happy Bokeh Wednesday, everyone!

Happy International Cat Day, too!

Have come back from a wonderful holiday in Kiama. We stayed in a superb pet friendly place that over looked the beach from every window. I took the opportunity to do a series on wave motion. This is a double exposure. Olga

Simply a friendly Hummingbird. It allow me to get very close, and pose for a charming portrait.

After the St Paul Union Depot Days, the Duluth Museum’s Soo 2500 appearance, it made a photo trip on the Dresser Sub. Great times were had by all whom attended

Even though the Southern Pacific was known as the friendly, crews along than the Sunset Route still lived up to the name even though the company changed and I'm not a "unauthorized rider", all the road crews and local for that matter out of Tucson were more than interested to see someone out shooting. These guys saw me the day prior at Mescal oddly enough on this trains counterpart albeit an extra, and were laying on the horn and waving accordingly. The same applied here later in the afternoon after a solid morning of rest before hitting the rails again for a evening run to El Paso, Texas.
