Several dozen horses roam in this field in Grand Teton National Park - a few came by to say hello :)
While cleaning my boots in the garden, I went in search of a stiff brush. When I returned I found this cute fella perched on my boot. When I got closer, he reminded me the bird food needed toppping up.
Hasn't it got a pretty face?
It seemed to provide a good subject to practise my close up technique with the Olympus.
Trouble was that it kept reaching out with those feeler things, and leaving some slimy, sticky stuff on the lens glass. (Came off with a soak and a scrub!)
Then I noticed the translucence of part of the body when seen in the light, and tried to catch that. The photo below gives some idea of what I mean.
Simply in love with all the bunnies large and small that went in and out of the ground floor hotel room at The Stephanie Inn at Cannon Beach, Oregon.

Walking home, camera in hand as usual, and this man asked me to take his picture. So, I did and we had a brief chat. I sent him a copy and received a nice thank you.
Here's another few images from the encounter I had with this friendly kestrel in Point Reyes National Seashore last month.
This Golden-crowned Kinglet came in my direction while pursuing insects; I had to zoom out to get the shot :o)
This Northern Mockingbird must be well used to people since it let me get up close and personal ! Seen in the Desert Garden at the Huntington Library. Love that eye ! Hit "L" for an even closer look !!!!
While photographing, this skittish little red ground squirrel became more comfortable with my presence allowing me to capture this candid shot.
Another shot from the abandoned railway roundhouse, soon to be condos...
"The Friendly Giant is a popular Canadian children's television program that aired on CBC Television from September 1958 through to March 1985. It featured three main characters: a giant named Friendly (played by Bob Homme), who lived in a huge castle, along with his puppet animal friends Rusty (a rooster who played a harp and lived in a book bag hung by the castle window) and Jerome (a giraffe). The two principal puppets were manipulated and voiced by Rod Coneybeare." - Wikipedia

On my snowy walk I whispered hi
To this friendly porcupine.
I did not fist bump or shake her hand
Did not want her to misunderstand
She went on through the glittery snow
After she posed for a photo like a pro.
He smiled as he passed me and seemed to have a great day, or maybe that was his normal disposition.
NB: I was offline yesterday due to Power Outage!😭 But got to bed early for a change !😛
Size comparison of the new, wider Kübelwagen, and the Willys Jeep. That one got a swing axle at the front last year, so that I can place it anywhere when going outdoors. Unfortunately that makes the car so flimsy, that I regularly have to rebuild the front.
This is at the beach...^W in the desert at Hasselfelde.
