Came across these seemingly abandoned stairway constructed with wood branches all twisted ad crossed. It didn't seem to lead anywhere specific and I assume it has been a long time since anyone attempted to walk that path. The steps were rudimentary and overgrown and the wood railings at the point of rot and instability. Truly forgotten I thought but crafted with such beauty.
Was a very wet and dark day so not much light at all I'm afraid but just had to capture this strange stairway.
For Macro Mondays theme 'Blue'.
The image was done as a 14-shot focus stack of a single forget-me-not flower, 7mm across, using my Raynox DCR-250 mounted on my macro lens.

This house, and a few other buildings, lie in the center of Central, Louisiana on a couple of abandoned lots. Lost in time amid other buisinesses. I pass by often, not even noticing that it is there, amid the weeds and overgrown shrubs.
On this day, I noticed and stopped.
btw...doesn't it seem like someone is looking back at you from behind those blinds? ;)

On the "Forgotten World Highway' Taranaki - NZ
Taken from one of the highest points - near Tokirima.
On a clear day the three highest mountains in the North Island can be seen in the distance. Not this day.
I can't believe it's just over two years to the date since I last had a serious photo session with these beauties.
My recent obsession with owls and time spent up north are partially to blame along with the problem of achieving something different.
I have always been enthralled by the kites aerial abilities and so an afternoon in the sun with these guys was a must.
This shot whilst not as sharp as I would have wished for certainly appealed to me due to the birds wonderful pose and fixed stare right down my lens.
