Someone took the time and had the pride in their farm to put up that barn decor. Couldn't have been an easy job either! But that was years ago. The farm lies in ruins mostly. The farmhouse is abandoned and in very rough shape. One machine shed has collapsed,still full of old implements. Another is still holding on,still preserving some old farm relics.But the days are numbered for this place, just like the way of life for the small family farm....
Sidewalk threw an ecological park abandoned for the year due to flooding. Heavy rains this year left many of the lakes and reservoirs in Kansas swollen. The recreational activities they are known for and the dollars they bring to local communities have been severely limited. As the water recedes I explore.

A desert, with no sound, just the wind blowing. You don't notice the soft movements of the sand. But each blink, you see a new paisage. Your shadow is the only companion you have. But you don't feel lonelyness, you feel part of the cosmo. A little one, but you feel great! Because even knowing you will be in this world just for a moment, it seems to you an eternity.
Elizabeth Lake used to be full of water and this was a well kept park. Now Elizabeth Lake is mud and the park is overrun with vegetation. Still a beautiful place.
