Erratic: a piece of the Canadian Shield left deep in Southern Ontario by a glacier.
Thank you to everyone who visits, faves, and comments.
Red barn standing, weathered and worn
Ghost of harvests lies there, like tears forlorn
Fields lay fallow, dreams we used to sow
Small town seasons, in a endless flow...

Standing here on a rainy day, I could imagine old pick-up trucks rolling off of the Bridgeport covered bridge and going behind the barn to Kneebone's Shell station for a fill up...
Of course, being alone out in the back country helps one's mind to wander...among other things...
But not gone. This former church in the very small outback town of McInlay, Queensland seems to be in rather good condition although not even in use as a home either by the look of it. Earlier in the year I posted a few shots of old buildings in this side street and most were in much more deteriorated condition.
Temperatures in this town at the moment at the height of summer between Longreach and Mt Isa could reach and surpass 40C but in general the humidity is quite low.
This is one of a couple of left overs from our August trip.
Happy Bokeh Wednesday!
I have a busy day today! I'll catch up with everyone's awesome BW shots tonight!
My fourth Iron build against Grant using the white flowery thingy. Check out Iron Builder to follow the whole battle!

The Santa Fe began to take deliveries of their 40-unit fleet of GP60s in May of 1988. They quickly went to work on the priority intermodal trains as seen here at Streator, IL from June of 1988 when the 4004, 4003 and a third were less than 2 months old. But they were quickly forgotten after the red and silver GP60Ms came on the property only 2 years later. This fleet still worked on the intermodals, but as a photographer you really wanted the 100-series Warbonnets leading and not one of these. But the 4000s were still the newest locos the Santa Fe could dispatch on this summer day.
