The way into the forest cult.
Step lightly, you’ve crossed into something.
What started as a walk now feels like a ritual.
No signs, just markings. No people, just presence.
Whatever this is… I’ve entered it.
A algunes pel·lícules he vist pantans verds amb els arbres sortint de l’aigua, ara em ve al cap “Tiana y el sapo” de Disney, com algunes escenes d’Star Wars amb Yoda al pantà... i després clar, algunes fotos de llocs com Caddo Lake que em semblen brutals. Al final tot el que vas veient et queda i tens allò que intentes replicar les idees que tens al cap. Evidentment, aquesta foto està a anys llum del que vull arribar a fer algun dia, però juguem amb el que tenim. En veure el Pantà d’Oliana ple em va venir al cap que alguns llocs tenien opcions de tenir arbres coberts d’aigua, així que després de mirar una mica per Google Maps vaig anar a veure el que trobava ja amb un parell de llocs al cap. Evidentment per fer aquesta foto cal dur les botes de pescar altes, ja que has d’entrar uns metros endins del pantà, però forma part de l’aventura i m’agrada així. Estic prou content del resultat, seguiré, però, amb la idea al cap a veure si es pot millorar, que segur que si, només amb una mica de boira per exemple... veurem.

A tightly clustered colony of Mycena mushrooms rises from the decaying heart of a fallen tree. Their delicate translucent caps catch the forest light like miniature lanterns, illustrating the endless cycle of decay and renewal. The scene captures the quiet architecture of the woodland floor — fragile yet resilient, ephemeral yet eternal.

Hidden deep within the enchanting Sandomierz Forest, in the Końskie Błoto Nature Reserve, I stumbled upon these vibrant fungi thriving on ancient, moss-covered stumps. The contrast of rich colors against the earthy forest floor caught my eye, reminding me of nature’s incredible artistry. 🍂🍄

I've passed through the stands of Birch at the former Bolehill Quarry many times, but this morning was my first time experiencing the other-worldly feeling of them enveloped in fog.
There is some real rhythm and flow to be found amongst the shapes and the near symmetry of this particular vignette caught my eye the most.

There is a small peaceful oasis in the centre of Stanley Park (Vancouver BC) called "Beaver Lake" The smells and sounds of the forest surround you.....and you forget you're in the middle of a city.

Molts cops em passa que veig fotos per la carretera, i en aquest tros arribant a Andorra per França ja m’ha passat molts cops i parar el cotxe per fer alguna foto. En aquest cas els colors dels arbres van captivar-me i no vaig poder resistir a buscar alguna composició. Amb el teleobjectiu posat era qüestió de buscar algun patró que m’agrades, i al veure aquest conjunt d’arbres que he col·locat a la cantonada inferior esquerra i veient el color que quedava a la resta de la foto vaig veure-ho clar.

There is a secret (ish) little nook in Hartsholme Park where the light is consistently magic...maybe the place really is?
Yesterday morning was no different, illuminating the twisting Rhododendrons whilst the light delicately picked out the textures and burls on the trunk of a Corsican Pine.
A cluster of mushrooms glowing from within, their gills lit by soft afternoon light and dripping with rain. Captured on my Nikon Z6II with the Nikkor Z 105mm f/2.8 Macro.
Focus stacked with Helicon Focus, finished in Lightroom. I skipped the tripod and lights to chase the fleeting warmth before dusk—worth every muddy knee.

Hello again my dear flickr friends. Thank you ever so much for all you wonderful comments. They are always a delight to read with great appreciation.
I hope you had a wonderful week and are adjusting to the upcoming autumn just like me.
And yes as you can see I am still not out of the woods yet (not in my mind and photos anyway lol). And I hope you are not bored with the forest shots yet. I know there are quite a number of these shots (as I like to create the forest scene on my flickr page too) so please only comment on any photos that might appeal to you the most.
For any poem followers, below is a poem - which I had initially intended to find on the internet (as opposed to writing it myself). However, the one I came across didn't quite suit this image
(ref:http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/on-the-red-carpet/ ) So I used its general outline to make up my own version of it below. It's not my favourite but I hope someone will like it lol .

A red carpet welcome from the forest .

I step into the autumn forest gateway
Welcoming red carpet of leaves all the way
Sun softly beaming through revealingly clad branches
Birds singing autumns tunes
With apprehensive delight I walk each precious step in line and all attune.
Each step warmly greeted by the earthy scent of leaves and barks and privileged forest sights
With open arms I twirl joyfully gazing up to the dizzying forest heights.
I see applauding, dancing and singing audience of birds, squirrels and even green and amber leaves.
Their smiles of eagerness. Like fans striving for celeb. attention, photo memorabilias and autographs to receive.
Is this my 15 minutes of fame.? ... I ask.. in my mind...
Smiling, waving, blowing kisses back, I reciprocate the warm welcome reserved for the celebrity kind .
Each glorious moment a magical dream - like floating on etheral wings.
It must be said - the golden glory of autumns throne is truly a special thing.

My hike continued into Woodlands Valley, an area I'd never been to before. The path ran along the edge of the forest which steeply climbed up the hillside to my left, a steep drop off to my right providing a view down into the valley and the tail-end of Ladybower reservoirs western fork.
I eventually reached Haggwater Bridge, the river Ashop flowing underneath lined with old growth woodland. This is a departure in terms of subject for me and also the way the scene is composed, normally I'd avoid such a big void in the middle of frame, but I think it works with the context.
