Time: 10.30 am
Weather: Cold early winter sun, wet floor from the dew.
Mood: Optimistic to get lost in the woods, fearful a city forest wouldn't live up to my expectations (a bit closed minded of me i guess). All in all, the moment I walked into the woods, smelt the fresh air and heard the birds I felt more relaxed and content than I have in a long time.

i was thinking about group of tulip festival shots i have and also now the japanese garden and it made me remember that i still have forest park photos to share from that day in february with Danielle and Katie. so i figured it was time to revisit those as a bit of a different perspective.

bark beetle: The beetles use mainly woody plants as host plants. The beetles drill into the bark or into the wood for oviposition. This results in characteristic breeding patterns or breeding systems.

I had my last wisdom tooth surgically removed yesterday...
This tooth was so way out of where it belongs that it never showed up on x-rays until an infection began to dissolve my jawbone. You don't want to hear the details but I won't be able to chew anything tougher than pasta for the next two months to avoid breaking my jawbone.
Ok., enough with the whining... went for a looong walk through the forest today to forget about the pain...

...A dawn outing to Savernake Forest with fellow photographers JRTurnerPhotography and Matt Franks Photography. I didn't quite get the shot I was looking for, this was the best of the bunch that I took. I plan to revisit Savernake Forest in a couple of weeks as the colours have just started to turn. I will plan my next visit slightly later in the morning, so the suns rays shine in from a higher angle too. Wish me luck...
