There may be upwards to six-hundred types of garlic being grown world-wide.

Here ( I think ) is the Purple Stripe garlic, they are ophios (hard-necks) and are usually vividly striped with purplish vertical stripes decorating the bulb wrappers, hence their name. In between the purple stripes, their bulb wrappers are usually very white and thick. Some sub-varieties are even heavily splotched with purple. Coloration is affected by growing conditions, particularly weather and sometimes they are strongly colored and at other times more white than purple.

They tend to be rather rich in flavour, but not overly pungent, though some are milder, and store fairly well. Standard Purple Stripes (Chesnok Red and Persian Star) make the sweetest roasted garlic.

Why not view the set as a slide-show?

Also I often upload more than one image at the same time, I see a tendency to only view the last uploaded...

Stewart's has moved out of Hammonton. A landmark for many years, they did great on weekends with the 'going home from the shore' crowd.

I don't know what it's fate is. It may reopen as something else.

Yum, I am a sucker for Dove chocolate eggs!

Yes, I know this is a really crap excuse for a photo and a pun, but hey, what can you do? I spent all day in heels and Spanx, so really, chocolate was a necessity!

Bacon on the bike path, baby! Planet Bike and Just Coffee served up breakfast for folks making their morning commute along the shore of Lake Monona. Willy Bikes was also on hand doing bike maintenance.

I don't have a premium account here, so if you want to download the original size you'll have to do it here: caboose6789.deviantart.com/art/Tamiya-Rough-Rider-RC-Bump...

The biggest flickr download available is still pretty big though, so it depends on how big you'd want to print it.

Let me introduce you my new outfit made with ingenuousness for Sophia. She desired an "Sailor" dress set.

Regarding the colors, I did a study around the tones of an old doll whose the atmosphere is a very soft sailor witch I love a lot.

So a base of ivory and blue-gray with a touch of tonic red.

This set consists of a dress, an overskirt, removable collar and stockings.

- The dress is cut in a lined fabric and trimmed with lace and ribbon at the bottom.

- For the stockings and the dress's breastplate, I painted myself red stripes on an ivory fabric to give an old craft touch.

- The removable sailor collar finished by a small red bow, edged with fine aqua silk ribbon

I also want to introduce you one of my new dolls customized by me during the past months.

Her name is "My Bloomy" because she's very inspired by Bloomy Bloomsbury, one of my favorite Blythe.

She is a FBL original Takara Blythe "Prima Dolly Tokyo", I bought her second hand to be customized for me.

Work done:

· Carving of her nose, lips and philtrum

· New full makeup made with artist Extra Soft Pastels "à l'écu" from Sennelier and sealed with several layers of MSC

· Tiny freckles

Hoorah! Anniedollz little rainbow girl here is finally done and I just had time today to do some photoshoot of her. And, everyone knows how gorgeous Anniedollz custom dolls are and so, I'm stoked about making a CaramelPOP just for her!

Annie wanted to provide her own handmade outfit and wig (Yes that amazing rainbow rose skirt is made by Annie herself!) so my mission would be including some of her favourite elements. Chihuahua being one of the most unusual request she had. :)

I'll be sending her off to her mommy sometime this week. I hope you like her Annie! ^_^

For Auditions we got 10 Place! We hope to get First This Week! I hope you like it :D

Cosmeston Medieval Village.

anyone know what these buildings were for?

For this miniature transient public installation, I wanted to make up for lost ground in helping our President win his War on Terror.

Make no mistake; even though it may appear we went to war against Iraq and are preparing for war with Iran, we are at war with Al Qaeda.

And while this may be a new war, some of the old rules do apply:

Consider:

A) Baron von Clausewitz’s classic bon mot “War is politics extend by other means.”

B) Tip O’Neil’s maxim that “All politics is local”

Therefore, A+B = war is fought at home.

Compound that with the following 2 documented, known facts about Al-Qa’ida:

Fact #1: Al-Qaeda is known for the simultaneity of its attacks.

Fact #2: Al-Qaida is known for the audacity of its attacks.

Do you feel the hairs on your neck standing up? Not yet. OK, let’s review:

- In a war against al Qeada

- War fought at home

- Enemy launches simultaneous attacks

- Enemy known for audacity of scope

Now can you connect the dots and see what I’m seeing? You don’t need to have gone through Langley or be a poor man’s Richard Clarke to put the pieces together.

Al Qaada is planning simultaneous home invasions of every household across the country.

Now before you panic, realize this. Fortunately, with 105 million households in the U.S. and a worldwide estimate of only between 20,000-60,000 hardcore active al Qaeda operatives, they are unable to meet the manpower requirements for this audacious attack at the present time – which gives us time to prepare.

But we have to act. We have to get ready. We can no longer sit idly back behind our locked doors on cold winter nights sipping coco and watching on demand romantic comedies in the American Home. We must sit idly back behind our locked doors on cold winter nights sipping coco and watching on demand romantic comedies in Fortress American Home.

That’s why I’ve written Terrorists Don’t Use the Doorbell: Preparing for - and Winning - Close Quarters Combat with Islamo-Fascist Home Invaders in Fortress American Home. It’s an easy-to-read, clear-cut guide to success, complete with over 250 easy to follow illustrations and diagrams along with a very special forward by Ted Nugent.

In it you will learn:

-Tactical uses for slippery wax build-up

-“Watch out behind you!” and other proven diversionary tactics

-Is C-5 really one more powerful than C-4? (The answer may surprise you!)

-6 hidden secrets from the feel-good family hit “Home Alone” YOU can use to defeat Islamo-fascist home invaders today.

- And much, much more.

Now there are those who will attempt to marginalize the above truths as the deluded rantings of a crackpot. My fellow Americans, I wish that were the case. Unfortunately, since I was Philosophy minor at a Jesuit university, my logic cannot be anything but air-tight.

However, this book is not available in stores. It’s not available by phone or on the Web (you won’t even find it on e-Bay).

You see, I cannot publish this book. Doing so would be playing directly into the terrorists hands. He is a determined adversary who is certain to adapt to our tactics. I cannot openly give out our defensive signals only to have them stolen and used to defeat us. Like Bill Bellicek, this is an unrepentant enemy who wishes to stamp his mark on history.

So, I’ve encoded them in small stickers I’ve placed in the men’s room stalls of various dive bars across the country. My belief is that they will be read by thousands of Americans and enter what the great psychologist/restaurateur Karl Young Jr. called our “collective unconscious”.

Perhaps this isn’t the best plan for communicating information vital to our national security, but I had to act.

Because to ignore this threat is like being handed a Presidential Briefing titled “Al Quiada Plans to Attack U.S.” and vacationing. Guess what? Al Qaida doesn’t take vacations. Neither should you!

These photos are from historic Bread and Cheese Creek in the North Point Area, which we have targets for cleaning on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Rain or Shine. This area starts from behind the ARC to North Point Boulevard and continues to North Point Boulevard. We will meet at 1401 North Point Road, Dundalk, MD 21222. ANY time you can give to helping us out is more than appreciated. We are continuing with this section since it has never been cleaned (to the best of our knowledge).

There will be plenty of ways for volunteers to participate. We will need every type of person of every ability level to contribute and assist with the Clean Up. Though it is true we will need people to dig out shopping carts and haul trash to the dumpsters, we can use people to run water, food, tools, and trash bags (both empty and full) to individuals in the creek. People to sort recyclables from the debris removed. People will be needed to set up food as well as many other less strenuous activities. We are also authorized to sign-off on Community Service and

Service Learning Hours for students. The more people we have, the easier the work will be for everyone. Please feel free to pass this information on to other who might be interesting in helping as well. As my grandfather always said, “Many hands makes the work light”

Our cleanups are part of an ongoing effort clean the entire stream by 2014 in preparation for the War of 1812 Bicentennial Celebration. (Bread and Cheese Creek has been noted as one of the highlighted locations on the Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail) The creek played a rather significant part in the Battle of North Point which took place on September 12, 1814. Both the American and British Troops camped along its banks. It is rumored that the young heroes Daniel Wells (19) and Henry McComas (18) used the stream channel to sneak up on British General Robert Ross killing him with their muskets before being killed in return fire. This important part of our history should not be left the eyesore it currently is.

For quite a while, Winnie the Pooh used to meet guests in the Magic Kingdom with a honey pot on his head. This was sort of amusing, but somehow his face had a bit of a demonic look to it, so I can understand why he might've wanted to update his appearance over the years.

This photo is from my first visit to Disney World in February, 1979, back when characters would just stand out on the street to meet guests (long before dedicated queues were required).

This was my spare camera as my D200 is broken and I didn't realize I could have shot the Leica. Since my D70 L bracket is on loan, the flash was handheld which made AF, flash, nearly everything inconsistent.

Condition:Used Clear Title

Engine:4.7L V8 SFI OHV

Transmission:Automatic

Mileage:34,327

Drivetrain:Four Wheel Drive

Exterior Color:Black

Interior Surface:Cloth

This 2006 Dodge Ram 4x4 is metallic black and only has 34,000 miles! It is in great condition, runs strong and shifts smooth. Plus, the custom exhaust gives it a nice rumble too.

If you have been looking for a nice Dodge 4x4 pickup, you will appreciate this 2006 model. It has obviously been taken care of and not abused. It has an AM\ FM CD player, cruise control, air conditioning, tinted windows, bed liner and premium wheels.

After doing our research, we priced this low mileage Dodge Ram 4x4 as one of the lowest in over 500 miles for one reason only...to move it FAST! Call Frank, Josh or Loren today and 719-434-8443 and come in for a test drive, you won't be disappointed.

Let me introduce you my new outfit made with reverie for Alicia. She want something around my Little Red Riding Hood... So I plan to make a new variation of this theme, with a lot of assorted machine embroideries by combining some designs.

This set include a dress, a corseted over-dress, removable puffed sleeves, a jacket, a petticoat and socks.

Here, you can see the whole set.

- The short jacket with basque sewn in eucaliptus shot cotton with red satin stitch on edge, and a red swiss dotted cape collar.

- The corseted over-dress, fully lined, cut in a wonderful dark shot cotton "Moor" (weaving of burgundy and emerald green threads). These piece is edged by an assortment of embroidery, trims and lace. Tiny gold eyelets and a satin ribbon lacing make the back closure.

- The apron made of antique lace lined with cotton muslin, also trimmed with tiny flowers on a scalloped spring green ribbon. A row of teal Miyuki beads highlights the top of the waistband.

- The dress made of antique white Dimity cotton fabric. All edges were trimmed with small floral embroidery and the front buttonholes band is enhanced with lace and gold metal tiny beads.

- The petticoat made of cotton muslin edged and adorned by airy french lace and red ribbon.

- The assorted embroidery socks.

I take this opportunity to introduce you an other of my new dolls customized by me during the past months.

Her name is "My Alice".

I used a FBL Ambrosial Blythe with a Jenna scalp I bought especially to become Alice.
