Here's Mount Pilchuck from my house.

In my nostalgia, or rather my ibuprofen and aspercreme fueled delirium, I thought of pulling up a photo of the thing for reference.

When volunteers leave there is usually a send-off party with speeches and flowers so that the university community can thank visitors for their contribution.

The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Frances Fitzgerald TD today launched the Irish Childhood Bereavement Network which has been set up to support those working with grieving children and young people. Based on a UK model, the Irish Childhood Bereavement Network will act as a hub for those working with bereaved children, young people and their families in Ireland. The aim of the network is to facilitate easy access to a choice of high quality local and national information, guidance and support to enable children to manage the impact of death and the loss in their lives. The Irish Hospice Foundation has agreed to host the Network for the first two years and will seek to source funding for its ongoing development.

Portrait by official Photographer of the French Government Henri MANUEL.

Edition by A. NOYER, Paris.

Editor's Note:

This Portrait always provokes a one-hundred-year-old lively Argument: is the Photograph depicting Marcel (another WWI Flying Ace, whose second Name was also Maurice !) or Maurice NOGUES

This became cyclic and quite polemical, for exemple as the french Post Office edited a commemorative Stamp or during Wikipedia Editions

The Ambassador for a Day campaign is a flagship initiative of the British Embassy

Sofia.

Launched in 2018 to celebrate International Women’s Day with a positive act, it has now become one of their most recognised and widely supported initiatives.

The concept has evolved over the last two years. In essence, Ambassador for a Day is a national essay competition for girls between 14-18 years old (8th to 11th grade).

The core objectives behind the initiative are:

1. To encourage young girls from across Bulgaria into diplomacy by giving them

the opportunity to experience what it is like to be an Ambassador.

2. To empower them to add their voices and perspectives to issues that affect us

all.

For some people home is all they can carry in their hands, on their backs, in a super market cart...

And this is now a most familiar street scene, common in all countries.

And the shame is not on these people, it's on the political leaders of these countries and on all rest of us who vote for them!

For the first time in 183 years, Historic Werrington House was open to the public.

Ventured along, so did a few other hundred people, considering it was only open for three hours and there was a two hour wait to snout through the house, uninterrupted photo ops weren't to be.

It's hidden right in the middle of 70s constructed suburban dreams, if it wasn't for the new gates you'd never know it was nestled in there.

For many years it was home to the "Father of Federation" Sir Henry Parkes, Premier of NSW on 5 separate occasions from 1872 to 1891. Now owned by the former NSW Opposition Leader Captain Peter Collins and his wife Jennine.

Okunoin cemetary, Koya-san. A vast cemetary with over 200,000 stone stupas and a very special place at dusk which is when we walked around for a bit.

For a commission. I toyed with doing her bangs all in white, but decided it looked better with wide stripes.

I was so happy to see these bloom last fall and I can't wait to see if they survived being wintered in my house, oh I hope it flowers again!

For my cousin who just got married. The bride had sunflowers in her bouquet, and the bridesmaids wore lime green dresses. The bronze cardstock was the same she used for her wedding invitations.

For a long time I wanted this watch, but for a long time it was out of my reach financially. Even my son bought one for himself earlier. ) But I'm glad I was able to get myself this 125th anniversary model. Cuervo Y Sobrinos Prominente - Swiss manufacture, Latin heritage.

The first day was washed out at Bristol, and much of the second. Kane Williamson made most of his 111 for the home team while proper cricket was being played. We then has some farcical bowling, leading to a declaration, then an innings forfeiture. Even more farcically, Gloucs then blocked for an hour because they had arrived at their agreed 400 too soon!

Eventually, Yorkshire were set 400 to win in a day plus an hour, and proper cricket was resumed. Under no pressure of time, Yorkshire did it easily on day 4, with Phil Jaques making 160 and Gary Ballance 121 *. The justification for the earlier nonsense was the final day's play, and they had a point. To me, the integrity of the game, and of the competition, was compromised.

But that was two wins and three draws from the first five games, as Yorkshire pursued promotion. It was just as well, because the next eight games were all drawn. At Colwyn Bay, only two hours were possible. It rained like the end of the world at Southampton, where Joe Root played one of the great innings. Fewer than 100 overs were possible at Chesterfield. Adam Lyth's 248* at Leicester was in vain as rain came on day 4. This was the wettest summer of my cricketing life, and 1983 took some beating, believe me!

For this skirt a used Bora's ice cream fabric www.spoonflower.com/fabric/592477 wich she gave me on my birthday (thanks Debor!)
