A weather-beaten fishing shed in the village of Prospect, Nova Scotia.

The sun rays in your eye,

The love you’re giving that I have found;

Like sun that shines though the sky,

Each love must be worth and sound.

The sun that shines each day,

The love you gave from your heart;

What matter what we do or say,

Never let it depart.

Each heart is broken only once

And never grows from sorrow,

Let there never be no bygones

Not today nor tomorrow.

Sun rays oh sun rays

Never hide behind a cloud,

Sun rays all my days

That's what love's all about;

Give me no raining shower thought,

Nor glimpse of shadows I've caught.

On each star brightening night

When only flickering light is around,

I wish you'd hold me so tight

My fright could surely be drowned;

The sun rays the feeling of touch

Each love is not made of stone,

You know I love you so much

Oh never let me be here alone.

Each heart is broken only once

And never grows from sorrow,

Let there never be no bygones

Not today nor tomorrow.

Sun rays oh sun rays

Never hide behind a cloud,

Sun rays all my days

That's what love's all about;

Give me no raining shower thought,

Nor glimpse of shadows I've caught.

Sun rays oh sun rays

There are many turning ways,

Let’s give future to all

Before it returns to the haze;

Give me no answer: perhaps or not,

Tomorrow you may have forgot.

Sun rays oh sun rays

Sun brightening rays oh sun rays.

Sun rays oh sun rays

Never hide behind a cloud,

Sun rays all my days

That's what love's all about;

Give me no raining shower thought,

Nor glimpse of shadows I've caught.

Sun rays oh sun rays

Never hide behind a cloud,

Sun rays...

My wife went ill this week and we spent a portion of it in the Hospital. She had a UTI that progressed into a Kidney Infection and when we arrived at the Hospital, she had gone "septic" with a fever of 104 and a heartrate of 140 (resting) and then hell broke loose. I honestly have never felt so lonely while sitting in the ER watching the stumped doctors try to figure out what was going wrong and fix it.

I want to thank all my friends and family for their thoughts and prayers and their continued support. She was released and has been home for a day now. I am thankful and will continue taking care of her. The final diagnosis was UTI/Kidney Infection w/ a side of Pneumonia.

For you, yes you, on a cold winter day. This is from last fall in the dahlia garden at Point Defiance Park. It's a comforting thought that warmer days are indeed ahead.

This is an edit in Topaz Studio using a texture layer that gave the bokeh a touch of interest, at very low opacity, then the effect removed from the flower itself with a brush. They make using layers and masking really easy.

Thank you for you kind visits, faves, and comments my amazing friends. You are all the best! :)

TREE DOODLING FOR TEXTURE

This is done in Watercolor & Ink including the Elegant Writer Pen.

I like to doodle while watching TV....I am one of those people who almost never can totally vege out in front of a TV, and just watch TV...my hands need to be busy.

Today, I doodled this while watching a ''Perry Mason'' marathon on the Hallmark channel. It has been a very long time since I watched Perry Mason , but as a teenager and even older I didn't miss it and loved ''detective'' shows!

I was very conscious today as I watched, at how the TV world and our world has changed as far as violence is concerned. Even though Perry solved murders; in the show there was very little blood and guts and violence shown...whereas today a TV show of this genre will show you really mind boggling violence, blood, and horrifying scenes of dead, mutilated bodies. It really has become a violent world if we listen to the news and watch TV.....but there is another way to live in peace within ourselves....and I choose that way. You can have your crime dramas of today...I'll stick to Perry, or maybe Murder She Wrote'' which is the marathon for next weekend, if I need a detective show, or I will not watch at all....:)

Interestingly enough, I listened to an interview of Sonia Sotomayor on 60 Minutes tonight and she said Perry Mason and Nancy Drew books inspired her as a kid to go into the career she chose....I liked them both a lot too...:)

This image is dedicated to one of my dearest and sweetest Flickr friends,

Kim, who recently wrote me the loveliest testimonial.

Thank you, Kim, for being my friend, for your never-ending kindness and for constantly inspiring me with the beauty you capture through your lens. You are a true artist and a beautiful spirt and I feel blessed to know you!

If you haven't checked out Kim's photostream, be sure to do so. She's amazing!

these will be waiting for me on Monday as I am taking the weekend off

This is not for the challenge.

I recieved the Scallop Background stamp from the HA last Monday as my HM prize. - Actually I thought to get this gorgeous stamp. So, I made this image on a clear board

- I want to create it to be an album in the future. But I'm gonna hang this on a wall for a while. - to say a 'Big Thank You!' to the Hero Arts.

The Scallop Background was stamped with VersaMagic Sage, Distress inks Peeled Paint and Black Soot by Ranger.

The small elephant was stamped with Brilliance Graphite Back, and put the VersaMark Dazzle Champagne a little. And then, I did clear embossing on it several times to make epoxy-like embellishment.

*This clear embossing method to make epoxy-like embellishment is the way of Ms. Jennifer McGuire showed us the fantastic card with how-to on HA blog on April 20th, 2009.

Thankful for friends! Made this design for my niece. I've finally carved out some time to sit and play with all my new stamps from HA!

LOVE the little button stamps...the flower center above is cut from a wine cork...I sliced into rounds and then stamped them--they color nicely too! More to come in this set!

Thanks for looking and thanks for all our stamping friends on Flickr!!!

I am saddened by the news today that one of my favorite country singers, Don Williams, has passed away. I am very lucky to have seen him in concert twice in my life, the most recent being Jan. 2014. I have never heard a voice as smooth and mellow as Don Williams. He was truly one of the greatest country singers of all times. I will miss him. His music brought joy to my life. Oddly enough, my favorite song by Don is "Tears Of The Lonely". It is very heart rending, but it is the song that I want to share at this troubled time:

Remarkable 16th century botanical calligraphic artwork by two masters of the past: Georg Bocskay (1510–1575), court secretary to Ferdinand I, and Joris Hoefnagel (1542–1601). First created by Georg Bocskay to demonstrated the different styles of calligraphy of the era, the book was later ornamented with intricate fruits, flowers, and insects by Joris Hoefnagel and commissioned by Emperor Rudolph II, Ferdinand’s grandson. This unusual artistic collaboration between scribe and painter disrupted the history of manuscript illumination and gave us one of the most fascinating and beautifully crafted manuscripts of all time. Complement your designs, posters, and wallpapers with these enchanting CC0 illustrations from the past. We have digitally enhanced these spellbound hand-drawn calligraphy into high resolution printable quality. They are free to download under the CC0 license.

In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed......Kahlil Gibran

for those who don't know yet, aside from photography, i love cooking. looking at these fesh produce at a street stall in venice was just such eye candy for me. i just grazed my eyes on tons of veggies that we don't grow in the tropics. i see fennel here and there in some supermarkets, but they can cost up to 6 USD a piece for a small root! i loved the freshness of everything that i wanted to snatch them all and make some rockin' rattatouille!

For a break from the Smoky Mountain Images; here's an image from Matthiessen State Park from this last weekend. Abundant rainfall over the past week lead to the most water that I have ever seen at Matthiessen. The path that leads to the caves in the "wishing well" at the bottom of Cascade Falls usually requires a boot-deep splash across the dells. However the creek was bulging and required a waist deep creek crossing. It turned out to be a fun shoot, and it was great to get out for the first time since returning from the Smokies.

These are some come figure I made,but don't really have a use for,so I decided to post this pic to see if you guys were interested in buying any of them.From left - right Ramirez from MW2 which has a full body desert camo and a custom painted/modded scar-h,minifig cat vest and Brickarms helmet, he will go for $15.Next is Frost from mw3,this is not my old one,this is a completely newly repainted version of much better standard - $15.lastly is harper which comes equipped with a painted minifigcat vest and scar-h he also has a modified hair piece to resemble the character and a Tiny Tactical knee pad - $15.

I know you might think they are very overpriced,but I put a lot of time and effort into them,also if any body has a batman or bane brick affliction armour set please contact me as i badly need them for an upcoming project hint hint...........thanks guys :)

Been meaning to post these guys for quite some time... Luckily for you, I got Bronchitis! So I had a little time fo dis. Voila.

Thank you, Father, for the gift of my wife. You are the giver of all good and perfect blessings, and I’m amazed how You show Your love through her. Please help me to cherish such an amazing gift (James 1:17).

Each day, circumstances and frustrations can easily steal the joy from Ping. Please keep her from letting these challenges turn her focus from You, the author of her faith. Give her the joy that Jesus had as He accomplished the Father’s will on earth. May she consider each struggle as a reason to find hope in You (>Hebrews 12:2–3; >James 1:2–3).

When she feels tired, Lord, renew her strength. Surround her with friends who love You and will bear her burdens. Give her reason to feel refreshed by their encouragement (Isaiah 40:31; Galatians 6:2; Philemon 1:7).

May she know that the joy of the Lord is the source of her strength. Protect her from growing tired of doing what You’ve called her to do each day (Nehemiah 8:10; Galatians 6:9).

Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the church—a love marked by giving, not getting. Christ’s love makes the church whole. His words evoke her beauty. Everything he does and says is designed to bring the best out of her, dressing her in dazzling white silk, radiant with holiness. And that is how husbands ought to love their wives. They’re really doing themselves a favor—since they’re already “one” in marriage. Ephesians 5
